I say Merry Christmas to everyone and I get told I should be saying happy holidays instead to avoid offending people of different religions. I don't think that my saying Merry Christmas is offending anyone and if it does then I am NOT sorry for saying what I believe. I tend to be politically correct in most cases but NOT this one. What say you?

Ladies you are not the only ones who get stood up.
I made plans to meet to meet a lady. The place, time and day were chosen. I arrived 3 minutes late. My fault to be sure. The lady was not there. I was happy to know I did not miss her.
As life is. She did not show up. I waited 45 minutes and nothing. So I left.
If a person is not going to show up at least make contact and say something or just don't make plans to meet.

I was wondering if there are others out there that have the same feelings I do?
If you are on IM you might want to look at the incoming message tab, It looks like a bell, to see if anyone has sent you a message. I know I do.
People show as being on but when you send a message that says hello they don't even reply with," not interested"
What has happened to COMMON COURTESY?

I am wondering if there are any others who have been alone over the hollidays?
I am alone and missing my mother. It would have been her 90th Bday on the 27th of December. My family is off to Vancouver to visit with relatives. I could not go as I have not been at work long enough to take vacation time.
It sucks as I have no one to hug, have eggnog and rum with or any of the other festive fun with.

We used to say Merry Christmas and then it went to Merry Xmas. Then to not offend anyone it went to Happy Hollidays. All in the name of political correctness. All to not offend anyone or any NON-Christian religion.
I am Catholic and I am offended if I am forced to say Happy Hollidays and spell Xmas. It has been and ALWAYS SHALL be Merry Christmas. If that offends someone, tough.

Why is it that when a lady gets zero response for a fellow on IM that he is a fool, idiot or worse?
Why is it that men are held to high standards when chatting on IM ?
Why are women not held to the same things?
For a man not to answer a lady on IM or e-mail he is a player and dirt bag and a lot of other explicatives. Well most likely the fellow deserves the name calling as a lot of men are not well mannered.

It is sad when some places get so many on Halloween they run out of stuff to give out and other places like mine get only 5 . Yes I said 5 the entire night. We had candy for about 20.
I remember getting a pillow case stuffed two or three times when I was that age. My comes home with barely 1/4 of a bag. Now that is truly Halloween sadness.

It is said that the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray. Why mice got put into the saying I will never know. However it is true about it for men.
I was planning on going hunting on Oct 10 but due to an accident at work I was not able to. I cracked the second bone of the little finger on my left hand. Causing me to be out of hunting for at least 2 to 3 weeks.
Well the healing process is going along just great and I will be out hunting again on the 17th. With luck that is.
Hoping to get something with my bow. If I do it will be the first time. With the bow that is.
Bird season is upon us so I will have my 12 gauge along just in case I can get a goose or other like bird.
Well here is hoping for a good day of hunting. If not then the saying is, " A bad day hunting is BETTER than a good day at work."

Birthdays come but once every 12 months yet they seem to be like any other day. One is sunny in the summer months and another is wet in winter and so on. Some are milestones. The 18th for drinking, the 25th just because, the 50th a half century and everyone after the 50th because you lasted another year.
Birthdays are just another day.

I went hunting the other weekend and had a LOT of sightings. However they were to far for the bow to hit. Rifle season starts on November 1 in the area I usually go to. But on September 17th in the area just south of it. Hoping to FILL my freezer this year.

I work in a warehouse where the diversity of the workers is big enough to be annoying at best and down right maddening at worst.
I have several Muslim work mates. I am Christian. The heading for this post is LOOSE pay for a reason.
Muslim religion requires their followers to pray a certain number of times in a day. Five or six if I am correct. I have no problem with this and infact I would argue their right to do so. However the prayers that take place at the work place SHOULD be done on breaks.
They should NOT time back in from break and then go for prayer. It feels like they are abusing the religion card in order to get more time off work.
Once I crunched the numbers and found that the Muslim works take an extra 5 hours all together in order to pray. This is time the rest of us take up the slack to get the work done.
If I did the same thing I would, as the post heading says, LOOSE PAY. Yet they do not.
