Last weekend I was meant to meet a guy whom we'll call Mr Smith.
Mr Smith is just two or three years younger than me, so when we met, I was making allowances for his unfortunate lack of tact, which as part of the date, brought about a stop to the nearest Sub sandwich bar.
His comments were always a little misogynistic, but I attributed it all to a kind of dark humour.
It was only when we got to his place, that he really became a little meaner. Dont get me wrong here. I like light-bondage and am partial to being called bitch now and again, but not too keen on it happening outside direct sexual play.
He made sure he came. He asked if I hadn't. As of course the answer was negative, he just said "well, you'll have a long wait".
Some people smoke right after sex.
This guy decided to pick his nose right after sex, playing with the 'by-product' in his hand.
When I caught him doing this, I instantly started considering if I should leave. It was an area that I hadn't been to for a while, and it was about 2am.
He kept asking me why I kept refusing so nervously to let his hand make contact with me!!
So he gave up trying to touch me decided instead to roll a cigarette on his desk.
At that point he made yet more misogynistic comments and even insulted my mother. For some reason he was getting a great kick out of this.
At that point, I’d got dressed, and seemed totally unaware of why did I want to leave.
I refused to let the bad experience ruin my weekend. I got in a cab and went to a nightclub, all the way into the centre of town.
After much dancing and flirting, I met "Peter". He is a very gentlemanly, good looking 34 year old.
He came to me when I was taking a rest from dancing at about 5am.
Peter offered to walk with me to the tube station, and as it wasn't open, let me wait in his car, for 2 hours, accepting the fact that by then my libido was asleep. I was very grateful, because it was a very cold Sunday morning.
Eventually, he suggested we find a coffee shop.
We had breakfast at a trendy coffee shop, then, as we were talking, he suggested that he wanted to sleep with me. "Obviously I find you very attractive, and yes I would love to have sex with you, but I meant sleep as in falling asleep".
Well, what could I say to that? I knew what he wanted, because after meeting in the club, he kept holding my waist, and kissing me. Needless to say I found him attractive too, but I still played it cool, because I wasnt all that sure if I wanted to meet two Mr Smiths in one night.
I let him make all the moves, until around 10.30 I said that I would also love to fall asleep then 'sleep' with him.
We had the best Sunday shag that I’ve had for a long time. He confessed that he had never cum so much in one day.
He drove me into town around 8PM that Sunday so that I could catch the tube back home. He lived in a town outside London called Guildford.
The morals of this story?
Even the most normal sounding person can seem a real b*strd.
Never let bad experiences beat you.
Not all men are b*strds, some are warm, polite and truly appreciate a woman, even if its just the one night.
Stick to the 2-email minimum. I will make doubly sure that they aren't mental before I venture into a private space with them.
