Here's to the New Year. Had two major breakups in the last year and a half, so hope this year goes better. On the good side, I have lost about 15 lbs!! A silver lining

I don't know about this daylight savings time, especially in Alaska, seems like a waste. Why do we still need it? Just makes people cranky for a few days, and that's bad for good sex!!!

Alright, October, fall, frost on the Pumpkin, Halloween! I love October! I never liked dressing up as a , but I sure do now. My sweety and I are going to Seattle to New Horizons for a two night Halloween party: dinner, dancing, and adult fun

It is finally sunny in Nome today after a cool, wet summer. The Bering Sea Gold dredgers are starting to head out on the water. They haven't had many days to search for gold, so my guess is that many of them will be hoping to break even!

Well, this is the first time in 12 years I missed Burning Man to ease me into the fall, but I don't feel too bad so far. I think that the miles I've come are going to pay off starting this fall. I'm looking forward to an awesome year.
And, I've been doing good reconnecting with old friends and strengthening bonds!
Would love to hear how your fall is starting!

Back home in Nome after what seems like a quick summer. I had a horrible summer and fall last year, and I'm hoping not to repeat them. So far so good. Good summer. Looking forward to a great fall. I want to reconnect with old friends and connect with new ones. Taking care of my garden, so to speak! Hope you all are doing well! Thanks for looking at the post.

So, I was reading my Facebook yesterday, when I noticed a friend's update: is moving to Raratonga! Raratonga? Well, I knew this friend is adventurous, but I looked, and Raratonga is a speck of an island, part of the Cook Islands, about 20sq miles, in the middle of the Pacific. Why in the hell would she subject herself to such isolation and deprivation, even if it is a Pacific Island? Well, a more astute friend of hers later replied and reminded us all that it was, after all, April Fool's Day!!!

I live in Nome, and you've probably seen the news about our rescue by the Russian tanker and Coast Guard icebreaker. It's been beastly cold, -30 - -40 for weeks, so it was a welcome diversion. To tell you the truth, I'm looking for a different kind of excitement
