Yep, yesterday I blogged about how nice it was that everything on HotMatch.com was running smoothly, just like an actual website. Today it is slow, IM will open but not show any names, profiles will not open.

The website seems to be back up to its regular speed. Or even further, up to an acceptable speed. I've been able to quickly jump from profiles, to photos, to groups, to blogs and back. I haven't tried IM yet but I'm working 12 plus hours today to the chat will have to wait.

I've seen people complain here for ages that our profiles are repeated on other similarfriendfinder sites. Does anyone know if thise practice includes Ashley Madison? I started a profile there though I haven't paid for full access. I'm seeing the same photos and in some cases screen names of women there as I do here. I'm wondering if those are actually sign ups by those women or just profiles being shared between sites.

It was fun to notice last night when I got home from work that seven members had viewed my profile. Of course some of those were bound to be inadvertent rollovers, but still. Unfortunately, they all seem to need me to be longer than I am. As in the closest was 517 miles away and the furthest 3895 miles.

I love the lengthening days. Waking to bright sunshine. Dusk lingering in the backyard well into the evening while sitting around the fire ring. About this time of year the sun has risen high enough to shine through the bathroom window when it is time for my shower. The stark rays of light cut through the translucent material highlighting the edges of everything in the shower. Unfortunately my shower is severely lacking in interesting shapes to outline.

I need to get back on my bike. I need to get into my new kayak. Work is not a workout. Granted I'm up and moving a lot these days. My current project has me moving around a lot, doing the stairs over and over again. But the first thing on my post semester to do list is getting outdoors and active.

Okay, in this instance packing away the parka isn't an euphemism for sex. I'm just ready to give up the heavy coat until next fall. I put my parka away for good once this year, in March. Oops. It is gone now even if the next ice age starts in June, it is gone.

Adultery. It is interesting to discover how different members here react to the fact that I'm cheating. Some are indignant. Others are aroused. Many don't care, but stir clear. Some want to know my reasons. It has mattered (or not mattered) to female members and couples in roughly equal portions. Some say it takes me off the menu, others say it is my business and they are open to playing. A few have preferred that I only cheat with them.

Whenever I find a new friend here it gets exciting. Gradually growing familiar with each other. The prospects of meeting. The planning and anticipation. Actual coffee or a drink. And in a few cases another date for more. As I've been on the site for ages, I've developed the philosophy of having hopes not expectations. I hope we hit it off. I hope we continue to flirt. I hope we hook up. As long as I don't expect those things, I can enjoy the journal, wherever it leads.
