I've finished Gone Girl. I enjoyed it a lot but wow that some twists and turns.

I've moved on the One Summer, America 1927 by Bill Bryson. I love his writing. If you are looking for a new book try A Walk in the Woods. It is way better than the movie. It is a honest to god, laughing out loud throughout book.

1927 chronicles, in a very funny ironic style, the events of that year. These include Lindburgh flying the Atlantic, Babe Ruth setting the home run record, radio took over, talkies came in, etc. It is fascinating.

Occasionally I do enjoy a foray to some of the nearby strip clubs. It is also an outing I enjoy when traveling for work. It has been the better part of year since my last visit. I've met a few women who enjoy going as well. Those have been super fun nights. Who enjoys hitting the clubs?

A type of sales technique that involves flattery and flirtation. The technique is effective at giving value and power to the salesperson's suggestions and compliments, thus resulting in a larger sale.

The most extreme example of this would be an exotic dancer, making you feel like she likes you so you'll come back for another dance. It exists, however, at lesser degrees, especially at smaller, boutique-y stores.

Their face cream doesn't actually cure acne, they just use girlfriend vibes to sell it. I bought a year's supply.

One last camping trip this weekend. It is feeling rushed trying to fit it between two busy weeks at work. But it will be good to get the trailer out again before winterizing it until next April or May.

The weather forecast is crisp but clear. The campfire, food, and liquor should all feel good in the autumn air. Someone is likely to be nestling next to be in bed to provide and give warmth.

I've finished Hidden Figures (great and important story) and I'm now a few chapters into Gone Girl and I'm really enjoying it. It is tricky to follow as the chapters are not in chronological order, rather like The Girl on the Train.
