 Something like this happened to me the other day. I know I replied on a guy's blog, who was feeling guilty about asking his wife for a hall pass. Now I can't find it anywhere. Maybe he deleted it. ?????
Anywho, it is -23 in the Chicago area, and we lost power about an hour ago. Thankfully, we have a small generator that will run our furnace, fridge and freezers. Ughhh.. Supposed to be frozen for 2 days, but then mid 40's by Sunday. WTH!!!

 Your understanding of what happened is correct. The comment in question had no value and was likely to cause an argument so I deleted it. If he wants to argue with someone on my blog it can be me.

 I don't think other users can delete blog replies ... I can't. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think that is a thing... perhaps they blocked you though or hid their profile ... then possibly that is what you are seeing? I know I've posted replies in advice line and later both the asker and/or the person I quoted has a deleted or hidden profile ... then it just looks weird with my content but not them or the context. Sometimes though I'll log back in later and it is all there, so .. that is the HotMatch.com charm er bug ... er feature.

I'm uncertain of the ability for blocked members to post in the advice line or blogs of those that blocked them ... then add the time factor of when the blocking occurred. etc.

As for the whether ... tom wait's sang "All over the world strangers talk only about the weather" So relative in those terms yeah ... but there is an absolute zero .. so there is an absolute definition of cold and not just what's in the icebox after asking for faith.

Correct.
Just to be clear, though.. . The comments are reinstated, if the blog owner's (or the commenter's) profile is turned on again. The comments also show up again if the blog owner unblocks the commenter.
