Nerdy things

What kind of "nerdy" things are you into.

For me I like all things Star Wars, TOS Star Trek, Doctor Who, Firefly, the MCU, and comic books (mostly silver and bronze age). Of the many topics I can talk about, I will go for days about these. Of course when you message someone to see interest you don't exactly start with Hey I'm Jim I like Star Wars, and expect a result. Its not early 80's anymore.

Anyway these are some of my favorite topics, so if you bring these up we could potentially talk for hours lol.

How about you?

Comics are great in many ways. It is how I encouraged and essentially taught my children to read. Never anything wrong with nerdy/geeky

Cool Beans, Just the movies, or books as well? Ragnarok was an outstanding film. I loved the 80ish feel, and the nods to comics. Plus the hilarity was great.

um.... Big Band Music?

I can't figure out if that's nerdy or just retro.

HAHA, I'd say more retro...But big band music is pretty cool. I like the 70ish take on big bands. Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, etc. Give me some great horns mixed with my rock oh yeah.

I like comics, although I don't know what age they belong to. I read DC comics too, not limited to Marvel. I also play video games. Although I don't think these things are super nerdy anymore...right?

sweetness, but don't take away the nerdy cred lol...I enjoy DC comics as well. I collect the Brave and Bold which had a great run. Also Iron Fist from Marvel The ages are easy: Gold 1938-56 (the orgin of comics and some of the biggest heros) Silver 1956-1970ish This is when the superhero comics really took flight. Bronze is 1970ish to 1985. Then the Modern is from 1985 on. Although an argument can be made that 2015 is another breaking point due to the directions of the stories and "rebooting" so to speak.
