behind closed door there are to many strange people out there. beside let them wonder what going on in there. I have gotten phone calls from people in motels before with lots of thanks that was get for us too. I bet they would have been standing in the door way cheering us on if the door was open.

It always depends on where and when. In a hotel...closed. In my house open, as long as the kids are gone.
