Reading profiles
Reading profiles I'm wondering how folks on this site can look at a profile and decide if that person is worth getting to know. Most of the profiles don't say a whole lot and some it seems you need to read between the lines on. Are folks really able to tell anything about a person based on what is in their profile? I myself look to see if we might have anything in common or are looking for the same types of things. Just wondering how the rest of you choose who you communincate (or not communicate) with. |

I don`t think you can tell anything about a person from reading their profiles. Most men do not read them anyways,i`m still getting e-mails saying "lets hook up" i usaully mail them back saying "READ MY PROFILE AGAIN" all the things im not interested in they think i want.I still get mail from 20 year old boys...oh well.

Thanks for your input Ecaffiene. I do read the profiles all the way through. Even your last line says that 45+ minutes away is too far and you won't travel to meet anyone. That says to me, no need to contact this person. If I had contacted you after reading that, I wouldn't really have expected a response from you. Have a great day.

I think that the profiles which say little or nothing tend to be demonstratiive of someone who is not really putting in effort. People view a 'swingers' site as an 'easy sex' site, a place to get easy sex without the taboo and expense of an escort (although they seem to be doing okay on here). Somewhere where nymphos congregate to get off. I generally do not reply to anyone who has written two lines on their profile. They want you to do all the running and yet cannot even find anything to say about themselves. Their vibe is here I am come and get me. Lazy. As for the rest, well always keep in mind that the profile posted is the summation of the way that the individual percieves themselves, not reality. In my profile I am funny and work out three times a week, in fact I have no sense of humour and cannot get my 53 stone body out of the bedroom as the door seems to of got smaller. So discount profiles. I use instinct. If a person sounds genuine and nice, I will mail. If someones profile does turn me on, I mail. Sometimes I think, well this person does not sound genuine at all, but then I think...... what if they are? (same as buying a lottery ticket). A good way of sounding a person out is the blogs (generally indicative of higher - or lower - brain intelligence). At the end of the day it is a web-site. You can communicate with people from a very safe distance so reply to all and sundry who turns your head.
