Putting some more Irish in you again......

Hi there,

I just want to finish off the list of things I feel are good about being Irish or being from Ireland.

If you hav'nt been before,Ireland i a wonderful place,so here are some more things that might make you want to CUM here...lol
.
.
.
R...Recreation is one of our number one pastimes. As i said before,we "work to live",& we so enjoy our recreation time here.If your a golfer, there are some fantastic championship courses that can be played here,
including the K-Club,& Portmarnock Golf links,& many dotted around the country as a whole...or 18 of them to be more precise!..lol

S...Go for a Cruise on the Shannon river,
Ireland's longest river. You can hire out a Yacht & visit many sites along it's banks, including some of the lakes along it's course. You can also hire a barge,& travel up the Grand canal,& wyle away the days just relaxing, fishing,& having fun.

t...Take a number of tours around the cities & countryside that are available,& reasonably priced.Or just hire a car,& explore the place yourself.Don't just stick to the main areas, try going down different roads,& lanes,& go off the beaten track a bit to discover all those hidden treasures that await you.As i said earlier,in the last post like this, you will never get lost,as it's such a small country.Just keep on driving,& you'll find your way again.

u...As a race of people,i would say that the Irish
are quite attractive. To be honest,i would put us up there with Latinos,Scandinavians,Greek/Cypriot,
& Eastern Europeans, for attractiveness. The combination of pale white skin, along with flaming red/brown hair, with either green, brown,or blue eyes,is widely considered to be a beautiful look.
Beware of the firey red-head though,as they tend to be well known for their firey temperament to go with their firey good looks,& also for their passionate side too!..lol

v...Make sure when your here, that you visit a Ceoli,or Irish dance. The music & dancing will liven your soul,& set your heart racing. It's a great way to have some fun Irish style,& enjoy the
Craic(fun),while your here.I'd recommend Johnny Foxes in Glencullen,Co Dublin. OR O'Connor's pub in Salthill,Co Galway. Both are Irish themed pubs outside Dublin city.IN the city,i'd recommend The Merchant pub,The Brazen Head,The Arlington Hotel,
OR a few places in Temple Bar,ALL in the heart of the city.

w...Belfast is such a wonderful city to visit too. It's been a long time since i've been there, but i remember it to be a great place to visit. Now that the troubles have stopped in Northern Ireland,Belfast has grown rapidly as a city. There has been major investment pumped into it,& it has been transformed into a bustling, fun packed city of culture. It's very near to the Antrim Coastline, which boasts the magnificent Giants Cosway,a few unusual volcanic rock formation, that has to be seen to be believed.

x...Despite what you might have heard,& contrary to popular belief, there are NO Leprochauns in Ireland. They are creatures of myth. There is NO crock of Gold under any shamrocks,or at the end of any rainbows.Sorry to shatter the image or any dreams that you might have had.If you come here looking for them,i'm afraid that you will be sadly disappointed. The ONLY places i know of where
you will find any Leprochauns, are in the thousands of gift shops dotted around the country,
hoping to cash in on your misguided belief in mythical beings.lol It IS a romantic notion though,i suppose,so you just keep on believing it.

y...Yarns...specifically Aran stitching. This is a very popular type of sweater,or cardigan, that can be got here in most places.Anywhere you go you will find a shop that stores Irish craft knitwear.
Because we were traditionally a seafaring nation of fishermen, each person used to wear an Aran sweater, made of thick ply wool,& treated with oils,to make them both warm & waterproof.Aran jumpers/sweaters were traditionally white in colour for ease of sight at night-time,but you can get them in almost any colour you'd like to have them in nowadays. They are quite expensive,
but will last forever if looked after properly.

z...Traditions...Ireland is just like any other country,in that it has alot of traditions.Ireland
has a very chequred past when it comes to it's history, but it's also steeped in traditions,& values, that hold the fabric of Irish society together. Some of them are quite antiquated,& outdated, but there are some that will always stand the tests of time,& that will be passed down from generation to generation.

I think that we are slowly but surely regaining our Irishness back,as more & more people want to learn the Irish language & use it in everyday life.We celebrate our achievements world-wide,by sharing our wealth & prosperity among the needy of the developing world. We bring hard work,
education, warmth & understanding of hardship to the rest of the world.

For such a small country,Ireland has it's place on the BIG stage,& rightly so.We are a nation of achievers,& doers. We work hard, but we play hard too.We know how to enjoy ourselves,& don't take ourselves too seriously.

So,if you hav'nt been here before, please take time to make plans to visit us soon. We'll be waiting with open arms,a smile,& we'll have the kettle on.Thats just our way,so come on & join the party!..

Hugs,

D. XXX

Thank you for the rest of the alphabet. I have enjoyed reading this and the first installment. Ireland is now on my "life list."

Are you sure you don't really work for the chamber of commerce?
