Sex robot brothels are opening all over the world; .... This is a good thing, but there should be "Sex human brothels" opening all over, as well. Not just robot sex brothels. But today, if you go to Spain, Italy, or Germany, you won't find a "Robot" to have sex with, as of today, they are only very sophisticated "Dolls". You still have to move them. But that "Sex Robot" is almost here....There is a place [a need] in society for Robotic sex workers. We see evidence, all over the blogs , of the men on this site who would feel more comfortable with a "Robot sex worker". The shy men, the men who like to dominate a woman, the psychologically troubled men, the physically disabled or physically disfigured men. The human sex worker objecting to robot sex workers, is an "Economic" objection. The same as Cashiers of certain stores objecting to completely dismantling human-checkout lanes and replacing the human with the self-serve scanners. sex dolls are attempting to take over the oldest profession in the world; prostitution....... The only way a sex dolls could "Take over", is if human beings create that venue, and do away with human brothels. ..... And in my opinion, doing away with human sex brothels would be a colossal mistake that would eventually prove to be fatal to society. .... There has been a very good reason for prostitution to last all these thousands of years, and probably before recorded time. Generally, that reason is: sex workers provide a service that has far more value than any provided by sex dolls. Sex workers often act as impromptu therapists providing a comfort and understanding. Interaction with sex workers is not always because the 'client' wants sex. .....People don't always think about that aspect, people are just more hung up on the moral and ethical aspect. Prostitutes are already protesting that this is not proper and that it cannot compare to what they can offer. .... And I'd say these prostitutes are correct. Maybe 100 years from now the Sex Robot Dolls will be able to provide what the human prostitute provides today. the Association of Sex Professionals working in Barcelona have cried out that the sex doll brothels are only going to objectify women. ..... No they're not....because we already objectify women, and men , too, for that matter. The Association of Sex Professionals are more concerned with losing income, and that's understandable. The dolls are said to be totally realistic dolls both in their movements and in their “feel.” ..... I'd have to see their movements, and feel one, to accept the statement , "Realistic". But today, if you wanted to purchase one, for yourself, you'd pay 10,000 to 50,000 dollars. If you just wanted to experience the Doll sex brothel , that would run about 120 an hour. The plastic girlfriends are the latest trend.... ha.. this made me think of all the women who have gotten plastic surgery for reasons of "Just because I want to". ....Even in the last 20 years, there have been court battles because a man married a [human] woman , but didn't know she had plastic surgery done to her physical appearance. The battle? Because the children were born looking very different than imagined , from looking at his wife. The sex doll can't get pregnant and sue you for child support.

Looks to me like the impact will be more on toy sales than human interaction. Simply because they look more like toys than people.
