~!~ Summer Breeze
~!~ Summer Breeze I certainly was not much of a dancer, but we did things a bit different "back in the day". It almost seems like an aerobics class. Do you remember the music from 1972? Maybe that is unfair for our "younger" visitors. Do you have an era of music that is special to you? Maybe from your teenage years? Here are excerpts from a couple of hits from around 1972 that I remember oh so well The Doobie Brothers - Listen To The Music (1972) Don't you feel it growin', day by day People gettin' ready for the news Some are happy, some are sad Oh, we got to let the music play What the people need Is a way to make 'em smile It ain't so hard to do if you know how Gotta get a message Get it on through Oh, now mama's go'n' to after 'while Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh, listen to the music All the time Well I know, you know better Everything I say Meet me in the country for a day We'll be happy And we'll dance Oh, we're gonna dance our blues away And if I'm feelin' good to you And you're feelin' good to me There ain't nothin' we can't do or say Feelin' good, feeling fine Oh, baby, let the music play Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh, listen to the music Oh, oh Seals & Croft -Summer Breeze - (1972) See the curtains hangin' in the window In the evenin' on a Friday night Little light is shinin' through the window Lets me know everything's alright Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind See the paper layin' on the sidewalk A little music from the house next door So I walked on up to the doorstep Through the screen and across the floor Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind Summer breeze, makes me feel fine Blowing through the jasmine in my mind Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom July is dressed up and playing her tune And I come home from a hard day's work And you're waiting there, not a care in the world |

Love music, it has always been a big part of my life. While I most of it, my most favorite one is classic rock, from middle 60' to middle 80' Those two songs are very memorable!! WITHOUT PASSION LIFE IS NOTHING

Kokomo The Beach Boys [image] Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take ya Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go, Jamaica Off the Florida Keys, there's a place called Kokomo That's where you want to go to get away from it all Bodies in the sand, tropical drink melting in your hand We'll be falling in love to the rhythm of a steel drum band Down in Kokomo Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you to Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go oh I want to take you down to Kokomo, we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow That's where we want to go, way down in Kokomo Martinique, that Montserrat mystique

I miss the 70s!!! We had some great music from that era, and what I miss about today's music is the long intros....there was so much to choose from! Our 70's rockers are still rocking, what does that say about the 70's??? Seals and Crofts were here in our small city, went to see them, and guess what, they stunk! We walked out before it was over, bummer. But my Neil is still rocking,dang...that man knows how to rock!!! He is my god, Neil Young that is, I've seen him three or four times, I can't remember. I did see Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young for a reunion, and of course Neil stole the show!!! (Last Night) I Didn't Get to Sleep at All [image] Last night I didn't get to sleep at all, no, no I lay awake and watched until the mornin' light Washed away the darkness of the lonely night, lonely night Oh, and last night I got to thinkin' maybe I, I, I Should call you up and just forget my foolish pride I heard your number ringin', I went cold inside And last night I didn't get to sleep at all I know it's not my fault, I did my best God knows this heart of mine could use a rest But more and more I find the dreams I left behind Are somehow too real to replace, replace Oh, last night I didn't get to sleep at all, no, no The sleepin' pill I took was just a waste of time I couldn't close my eyes 'cause you were on my mind And last night I didn't get to sleep, didn't get to sleep No, I didn't get to sleep at all But more and more I find the dreams I left behind Are somehow too real to replace, replace Oh last night I didn't get to sleep at all no, no The sleepin' pill I took was just a waste of time I couldn't close my eyes 'cause you were on my mind And last night I didn't get to sleep, didn't get to sleep No, I didn't get to sleep at all, no, no, no, no, no, no Last night I didn't get to sleep at all, no, no Last night I didn't get to sleep at all, oh Last night I didn't get to sleep at all

Pal, I didn't read the title of your post. I began to read, started thinking back to 1972, tring to think of songs from that time period. Then I got the lyrics of Summer Breeze... by the time I finished reading the first line, I was 10 years old again, and back in 1972. Find pleasure in giving pleasure
