NYT reports on Trump's federal taxes Among the key findings of The Times’s investigation: Mr. Trump paid no federal income taxes in 11 of 18 years that The Times examined. In 2017, after he became president, his tax bill was only $750. He has reduced his tax bill with questionable measures, including a $72.9 million tax refund that is the subject of an audit by the Internal Revenue Service. Many of his signature businesses, including his golf courses, report losing large amounts of money — losses that have helped him lower his taxes. The financial pressure on him is increasing as 300 hundred millions of dollars in loans he personally guaranteed are soon coming due. Even while declaring losses, he has managed to enjoy a lavish lifestyle by taking tax deductions on what most people would consider personal expenses, including residences, aircraft and $70,000 in hair styling for television. So other people are paying Trumps share of his tax liabilities. He has big bills coming due soon and may do illegal things to cover these costs. Too risky to have him as prez.... |

 they finally got him, that's tax evasion.... if it was anyone else, they would be in jail or pay huffy fines. what make him any better than the rest of us. if he doesn't have to pay than the rest of us who pay taxes shouldn't either.

You want someone running the country who has bankrupted a casino? You must also have missed the bit where he has $millions in debts that need paying off, and yet he doesn't appear to have the money unless he liquidates his assets. Given that he might not get book price for those assets he could be in even bigger trouble. Plus he could have $millions in back taxes to pay. He also has involved his family in some of these "enterprises" many of the overseas ventures list money paid in "consultancy fees" these sums mirror payments to his children. Those ventures were also very questionable - leading to the thought that the amont of compromising material held on him by overseas governments might be shall we say "unsafe". Maybe that's why he has been soft on Putin? Sorry but I really doubt that you want anyone running an economy despite what you say. I suggest you read the NYT account - and no doubt there will be follow ups and then ask yourself - if Biden wasn't paying these taxes and ulling scams would you be quite as forgiving? But you will give Trump the benefit of the doubt. Hmm...

......and of course all of his followers, supporters , minions will shout Fake News. They are drunk off the kool aid. I am much more concerned with why is he paying these other countries, who is he beholden to, why is he in bed with other countries. We need to build a wall around him and his kind as they are the true threats to our nation~~

 just why do you think he moved his residence from New York to Florida,because he wouldn't have to pay the high New York state taxes, with his residence in Florida, he can write off what he owes to the state of NY. look into his properties (golf courses ) some of them are loosing money, who's paying for it WE are, one of his main golf course in Virginia ( i think ) is being closed for none payment of taxes. look at all the people that work there out of work now and who is paying we are. something to think about.

Someone close to Trump, his accountants or bank leaked the info to the NYT. Other news outlets have confirmed the data the reporting is based on. Golf courses are known to be big money losers if bought recently. If Trump has nothing to hide on his taxes why not show the returns and why fight so hard to keep them hidden from the New York DA's?
