Mean girls

What do you do when you figure out that a person is not nice? Mean girls are mean.

The easy answer is to avoid vexatious people. Or keep the interactions to a minimum.

That gets harder when the mean person is a close relative. So then you see them only at xmas and a birthday or two, or not even then?

Sad, but necessary when dealing with toxic people.

You pick your friends but not your family. But you still have to deal with family.

What if you discover you have cancer and only a few years left to live?

That situation arose with a friend, and that changed her tolerance for suffering fools gladly. When you may die in a year or two that changes everything.

No time to waste. Instead of killing time, time is killing you.
