I sure am having problems with this site's IM. Often, I can't tell if the message that I send is even reaching the person with whom i would like to chat. Are you having issues, too? It has been a long retooling of the site and I know that there are many, many problems to iron out. But, it would be great if they could focus on the IM as it is one of the main ways for making contact.

 I also have a gold membership. It has identical issues.
