 Okay ...now speaking as a Blk man...i get alot of views/flirts from women that have a red x on their profiles on race and i usually just leave them alone...i know that we all have our preferences and all.So usually when a blk guy sees that we just skip the profile to someone else.

It is kind of like being a large person and seeing a red x on body type....but let me re-assure those who read this blog.Lanky is sooo damn cool and smart and Awesome to be with and if you haven't noticed...i am a blk guy.

 Makes sense to me ...

My tastes in women are broad (no pun intended) but from time to time I get a message from one that is outside of my range of interests/preferences. Sometimes I may even peruse the profile of a woman who is not my type (physically) but something catches my eye in the way she presents herself in her profile. My preferences are just that ... preferences ... a guide but generally not a hard and fast rule. Well, I can think of one exception: sexual preference. Many a gay man has tried in vain to get me to switch teams with all kinds of clever schemes. Ain't gonna happen.

At any rate, if a person is honest, intelligent, engaging and considerate I'll give them a second look even if there is a large red X next to one of the preference categories. Sometimes I have been pleasantly surprised and glad I took the time not to write them off categorically.

Sounds like you were too and it worked out well !!!
