Sometimes I just wanna smack them... I have an elder sister who had a traumatic brain injury ten years ago. She has four adult who have basically done little to nothing to help. She and her husband are long out of love, in fact prior to the stroke she and he were actively discussing divorce. Then an aneurism, brain surgery, crippled for life. Her husband stood by with her, through a sexless relationship, and he still stands by her, while trying to have a life of his own. Which he deserves. But he needs respite, a break, and a life from time to time. My two siblings and I have provided days and weekends of care to support her husband (and her) needs to give them a break from each other. When the crisis hit, her , all adults, claimed they would chip in, and once they got the word that her husband actually has a relationship outside of the marriage that my sister is both aware of and accepts, they used that as an excuse to judge, and to say they would not help due to that. This deprives my sister of care from them, it is a LAME excuse, and just a selfish way for them to get off of any commitment. Same old same old. I am disgusted with them and there is little that I can do. But I would like to smack them all down, and have decided to not discuss with those how I feel unless it is face to face, and yeah then I will tell them. I am disgusted with their lack of any integrity and see right through their bullshit. Their mother (my sister) and they are the losers in that equation. Just venting on my blog, if anyone notices or cares, and thank you for reading. Feel free to offer any comments of comfort. "If you wind up a bunch of robots, they do what robots do..."  |

that totally sucks and I'm sorry that this is happening. Big hugs and tons of good thoughts...oh, and if you need backup to kick their asses, I'm in!!!
