The next internet sensation? No thanks. I'll stick to my inner circle Happy New Year! I hate to start the year on a downer but this has been on my mind for a loooong time and I've been wanting to get this down. So here goes. Late last year I met and old Friend of mine of which I haven't seen in years. She had come round for an interview at the company I was working at and I bumped into her at the lobby. I asked if she was free and we caught up over lunch after her interview. Flashback - we knew each other through a friend of a friend waaay back when I used to go clubbing very often. We used to see each other at a few different clubs, then we took each other's number and eventually we'd go hunt for guys together 😜 Yeah, a looong time ago. Anyhow, she ended up dating this guy (who I've met on a few occasions) and they got married. We both moved on with our lives and turns out her marriage didn't last. Worst still, her ex turned out to be a real douchebag. So her story was, and I found it a little surprising she chose to tell me so much, she and her ex husband, while they were married, had decided to film themselves having sex. They were married a year and a half, so I'm guessing,a LOT of videos. Or rather he filmed her mostly. Which was fine, a lot of people do that. Except when things turned sour, he lied about not keeping those videos and/or deleting them, and actually posted them online. I haven't seen them, Nor do I want to, but apparently it was vivid and it kinda went viral. Well, as viral as it gets I guess. I never came across it ever. This was all a few years ago. So, as a result, people (who surf porn quite seriously I would imagine) started recognising her and she even lost her job. She used to be in the financial sector and, like everything else here, it's really small. She couldn't find another job similar to what she used to do and even when she did, it didn't last. Then she fell into serious depression and it all went downhill. She told me she was getting better but I remember her being more confident and less...mouse-ish. The whole thing got me thinking, in this mobile word of snap and post, those who want to keep their private lives private, have to be careful. I'm really really glad I have a close knit circle of friends who I trust...well, mostly. Most of them anyway. I thought what she went through was rough. Scary shit. |

Despite the many things that couples would do while they are in a relationship, when things goes sour and bad, revenge tends to happen (on a few occasions) depending on the fallout. When that happens, they are mindful that you shall never be mine after all, so why not I share my spoils with others? Revenge porn is indeed the worst and she would have gone to the police for tarnishing her image and reputation. Why she kept it to herself and let her ex rolled with it? The extend that people would do to ruin others... sad world!

She knew he had the videos and knew he posted them but she didn't go to the police? Seems kind of odd. It's sad she feels shame over this really.

With everything to loose why do people continue to video themselves doing things like that, I hope she learn her lesson, so many people show their faces on this site, with accounts getting hack why risk it, unless you are in the porn business and your family and friends know it, I would not chance loosing a job for a few hours of pleasure , it isn't worth it to me, yet people know these things and still do it, when it is posted on internet they cry foul, don't trust people will do the right thing
