As part of my doomed campaign to get Paul F Tompkins to come to Des Moines I joined Tweeter so I could Twit at him - and within seconds of joining some Spanish porn star started following me . Seriously , what the fuck ?

I can only imagine that she has a bot of some kind of set up so she auto-follows anyone and everyone . But why would you want to do this ?

I'm on the Book , I'm on Tweeter , I've said it before and I say it again now - if you live long enough become what you hate most .

Funny story , one year on my birthday my parents were busting my chops because there was a charge for a phone sex line in Ghana on the bill . Years later my sister admitted she and her friends called it "as a joke" . I was pretty pissed my parents wouldn't believe that I hadn't called it , but I guess as an adult I can see why that would happen .

Not to worry as per usual my dreams were crushed before they began . I have quit both . Still , 4 days on the Book and 1 day on Tweeter - I would have bet the house against that .
