So this got me thinking. And I am changing the question to what makes a great relationship? To be honest I am not including what is the first thing that comes to anyone's mind whether you want to admit it or not. If there is no physical attraction of some type you are not going to approach the other per. What makes for a great relationship? The couple must be equals. They do not need each other. But they want to be with each other. They want to stand side by side as if they are one. Not one in front of the other as if they are playing follow the leader. At times they need to let to other fall knowing that they are there to pick them back up. They need to be there for each other in a time of need. They need to be there to help each other not there to fix each other. They can stand by themselves and be themselves. And when they stand together they become as one but yet they are still themselves. They keep each other warm not because their bodies are together but because their souls are together. They can not say a word but look into each others eyes and see their souls. You both look into a flower and each see something special about it. It may be different parts of the flower but yet we both see the beauty of the flower. They each understand that the thorn on a rose is not there to hurt you be there to remind us to handle it with care. They each know they have thorns but they do not use them. And if they do let they thorn hurt the other they are still there to pick the other one up. This is not asking a lot of each other. It is only asking each of you to handle the other as a rose.
