Let me preface this by saying my wife and I have been around the lifestyle for about 10 years. By saying we have been around the lifestyle for 10 years, I mean 10 years ago we went to Hedonism III for the first time. There we were, dumb and stupid thinking it was a nudist resort. WRONG!! We weren't there for more than two hours before my wife is laying on the pool deck covered with ice cream and sauce and I am crawling over her licking it off...when suddenly an older woman jumps out of the pool and proceeds to lick my ass! No bullshit...this was our first introduction to the lifestyle (LS). We ended up having a great vacation and did not "play" at all. We still had a great week but enjoyed being voyeurs and exhibitionists. Well, over the next 9 years we continued to visit Hedonism at least once and sometimes twice a year and still never played with another couple. Needless to say that over that period of time, we had many in depth discussions on the LS, how, why, our wants and needs. It has been an incredible journey and yes it has truly been a journey. That all leads me to today.
Today we are more involved and engaged than ever, we understand ourselves, each other, and the LS and what it has to offer. Today I want to share our biggest gripe about the lifestyle...LABELS. Why are we labeled and why does the LS community use labels to define you as a person or as a couple? Isn't the LS about being yourself, freedom of expression, not judging, acceptance? If it is, then why do we use labels to describe ourselves? Swingers, soft swingers, full swap, soft swap, bi, bi curious, bi friendly...those terms don't describe who we are...they describe what we enjoy. We are all just people...people enjoying the freedom of expressing and sharing our sexuality with like minded couples and singles...no more no less. We are different from the rest of society. There is enough, judgement out there without labeling ourselves as one thing or another.
Don't we change, don't we grow. Haven't you met some special people that you would do things with that you wouldn't do with other couples or singles? Aren't your boundaries sometimes different based on the atmosphere, mood or vibe? With labels...you are one thing. Well we are not!! We are evolving in this lifestyle just as we evolve in life.
We wish all the labels would go away and we could meet people in the LS, get to know one another, share privately our likes, dislikes, fantasies, and it not have to sit out there with a label on our profile.
We like to think of it as living a sexy life. That is what we do!
You go out and live YOUR sexy life...whatever it may be and FUCK the labels!!
