Seated dips are hell on your triceps, especially when you kick your legs up on a bench and have someone lay weights on top of your lap!! Over the weekend an American sprinter broke the world record in the 100 meter dash, however, the record was denied because it was "wind aided." I understand that sports have rules in place to take care of things that happen via human interference such as with steriods, fan interferance and other forms of cheating. But since when do we allow the weather conditions to dictate the outcome of an event.
In what other sport do you see this? Would the tri-athalon disqualify a record because an athlete happened to be swimming with the current? Would the NFL ever allow an official to decided if a field goal would have gone in had the wind not been blowing? Would baseball take away homeruns that were "wind assisted?" Wrigley Field better hope not.
I've got a scenario for track and field. You've got eight runners in each semi-final heat of the Olympic 100m dash. The first heat takes place at a time where the runners have an "8 mph tail wind" and the second takes place with an "8 mph head wind" are they going to adjust the times so that the guys running in the second heat aren't at a disadvantage and if so how much will they adjust? How will they calculate it?
This is a dumbass rule that only applies to record breaking performances, which in itself should tell everyone that it's all a bunch of bullshit.

I went to the Chesney concert Saturday night, it was fucking great, even though he injured himself during the entrance, he hopped and limped around the whole night and had to get someone to carry him up the stage on several occasions. Kix Brooks called him "hop-along." There was lots of drama in our section, there were about 5 rowdy drunk people that got tossed, one was taken out in handcuffs. I ran into an old friend from high school and my friend that came with me ran into a girl she's taking a graduate class with.
I took my one of my best friends that I don't get to see very often anymore. We had lunch and got caught up, got out to the stadium and watched all 7 hours of the show. The acts, plus the episode of cops that took place during the intermissions was well worth the price of admission. My wandering eye was working overtime with all of the beautiful country girls walking around. All in all it was a damn good way to spend a Saturday.

Let me start off by saying that I like pro wrestling, even though it's scripted. And yes, the story lines have gotten admittedly boring as of late. However, last night there was reason to celebrate, the "Nature Boy" retired.
I've never been a huge Flair fan, I've always been more of an Undertaker or Heartbreak follower. However, Flair holds a unique place because he was my dad's favorite wrestler for years. I remember being around 5 or 6 and standing on the counter looking in the mirror while my dad dyed my then blonde hair to a very Flairish shade of white. I was too young to know or care much about wrestling, all I remember was that it was cool doing this with my dad.
When I hit middle school I began to get into wrestling, it became a Monday night tradition for my dad and I to sit and watch what was then the WWF battle it out in the Monday night wars with WCW. My dad worked the graveyard shift quite often in a computer department so when I got home from school he was either sleeping or getting ready to leave shortly after we finished dinner. But Monday's were special, no matter how tired he was he would always stay up and watch wrestling.
Dad never got a chance to see Flair wrestle live and in person. I was able to do what dad never did, last year when I took my brother to Monday Night RAW. It came to Columbia again last week and Flair came out and wrestled at the end of the night. He was one of the last to leave after the match and went out with a chorus of WOOOO!! after WOOOOO! after WOOOOO!!
After Flair lost to HBK Sunday at Wreslemania he retired. Last night on RAW they had a very nice very emotional going out party. It would have been something dad would have enjoyed. It's been a little over 5 years since my dad passed, and last night and the week before would have been two moments when I wished he could have been around. Not for me, or for any other reason besides the fact that I just think he would have had the best time sitting around watching and just being there.

Life is good, life is good!! Work no longer sucks. And on my first day off, I spent it hanging out with people from work, at the zoo. One of the girls brought her , they are so cute, and well behaved. We fed the goats and milked the fake cow. It was a very unadult outing.

This is how I spent my Friday night. After the last 4 days working at least 14 hours, some coworkers and I went out to a local watering hole. I've really gotten to the point where I love my job, with the exception of getting up at 5:30 in the morning. This is a great feat because there are millions of people that go to work at a job they hate. For those of you that knew me last year or read some of my posts, this has not always been the case.
Unfortunately one of the people that made my work life miserable for a good portion of last year has started to fuck with me again. It really pisses me off when people make me hate my job. Especially when I've got so far out of my way to do things to benefit everyone, said person included.
Things were going so well this year too, I really don't want to leave, but if this keeps up I will have to transfer.

I passed one of the local strip clubs on the way to spend Christmas with the family today. On the billboard underneath where the club's Christmas hours, were the words "happy birthday little baby jesus." I find it very funny that a strip club would put that on their marquee. I wonder if there is anywhere else where adult clubs display words recognizing religion.
