I'm not going to start out whining about the way things are going but I do need to vent a little bit.
As I have posted before my day's of being a self employed contractor for the oil and gas industry are pretty much history.
When I got the call from my broker last May I never worried about it too much. I had been through this before, but I never dreamed that 10 months later I'd still be out of work.
To say the least, my savings are gone and unemployment has ran out.
The thing that really gets me down thou is no matter where I have applied and looked for another job, it seems that either I'm over qualified or they just filled the position.
I'm getting to the point where I don't want to even try looking.
Maybe it's just me but I've worked somewhere at something since I was 14 years old.
Hard to accept the fact that I'm getting old and just maybe to old for most employers, but to young for retirement.
Sorry for being a downer and thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

This week we say goodbye to summer and hello fall.
The leaves are already starting to change and the day's are getting shorter.
I'm not going to complain about the hot weather leaving but I truly don't like winter. .
I hope everyone's summer was fun and one you will always remember. ..

As the day's grow shorter and the air a bit chilly it's a sure sign that summer is over.
I'm not sure how much longer I'll be on here as I posted before.
The song that keeps playing in my head is Live like you are dying. .. kinda scary, but my life has been good and not a lot that I have wanted to do that I haven't.
The one thing I want to do though, is to be able to watch my grow up and have a good life. (The are my life, we adopted them and have tried to give them a better life than what they were facing with the idiots who abused and neglected them)
I wish all who read this the best. ..

As I posted earlier this year, due to the downturn in the oil and gas industry, I have been out of work for the first time in my life.
I'm self employed and the work I did was as a contract employee. The outlook is not good at this time, and no end in sight.
On top of this, I'm facing some medical problems that will require surgery on my ear to remove a cyst and has already caused the hearing loss.
Earlier this year, I had to have the stents in my legs replaced due to femoral artery disease and have not recovered from it fully.
I'm not asking for sympathy, but I think it's time for me to go ahead and delete my account here.
I have made some good friends and I will try to stay as long as I can. ..
In case I don't get back. . Merry Christmas to all.
