Was I the only one who didn't get the memo? I'd like to believe not.
Since when do people think it's okay to ignore basic morality, common sense, courtesy, respect, rules of public conduct, THE LAW etc. etc. etc. Was some sort of morbidly perverted legislature passed allowing people to just not give a shit anymore about the consequences of their actions? I just don't understand why a vast majority of society has taken one of the basic principals of getting along in society and flushed it away.
In my opinion, the regard for basic human kindness has been forgotten. It appears as if people have decided to feel entitled to.....something? WHAT??? What is it that is so important to make one feel as if they should be immune from common decency? So many times every day I see people behaving in a manner that suggests they are better than everyone else and the rules of public behavior do not apply to them. Is there some sort of contagious virus going around infecting people with an "I don't give a shit, fuck everybody else, I'M more important" attitude?
I can understand, to a certain extent, people not wanting to interact with others within the general public considering the amount of scammers and other criminally motivated individuals out there. But that does not excuse the self entitled attitude prevalent in today's society. There's a basic morality that each person on this planet should be utilizing and it should be highly contagious without a cure.
Oh wait, there IS such a thing. It's called the Golden Rule: Do unto others.....

I was in Vegas for some home time back in January of '12 (being a truck driver, home time means time off at home) and was extremely fortunate enough to be available with my camera. Knowing the valley I quickly headed west to where the road ended at the 215. I wasn't alone either, there were several people who also knew where to be at the right time

I took these one evening in Liberty Missouri (pronounced misery ) which is just north of KC on I-35. The company I drove for had a dropyard close by and I'd go hit the fuel stop for fuel and a shower then go up and park at the Wal*Mart shopping center. There were some great restaurants in the area as well!

I woke up this morning waaayyyyyyy earlier than normal and just could not get back to sleep  Fuck it, get up and do some stuff before disc golf. Then I discover there is NO hot water whatsoever Great fucking start to the weekend!!!

I took these one evening in East St Louis Illinois while parked at the Pilot truck stop, it's about 3 or 4 miles east of the Mississippi on the 55/70. You can see the St. Louis Arch in these pictures and you notice the grandstands behind the trucks? That is the racing facility, the NASCAR track and the NHRA dragstrip.
I was very fortunate to capture this one because of the spike of light going up from the sun. It was quite unusual, I have never seen this before. I took a series of about 10 shots, some normal, some zoomed in at various levels, some 2 or 3 wide panoramic shots.
One of the first things I noticed about this camera was the sensitivity to light. My "sets" of pictures are normally shot within a 4 or 5 minute time frame as this is the optimal period for absolute color. When I take a 3 or 4 shot series (one right after the other) on several zoom levels the color will most certainly vary which is why I'm glad I take several shots, one will stand out over the others.

Something occurred to me the other day and I've been thinking about it here and there. It seems to me there are quite a few people of the late middle age group in here looking for FWB. Took these one morning while parked at the Petro in Shreveport LA
One of the very cool features on my camera is a panoramic shot maker. The camera stitches the 2 or 3 images together automatically. Although you are given a bit of a guide for alignment, if you don't keep the camera level things can end up a bit crooked I used that feature for the first shot below.
