I am quite certain I am not alone in this regard.

Whether it be your ability to handle money, build a house, organize a warehouse, drive a car, paint something beautiful, speak to the masses and be heard or whatever it is... do you ever feel like despite your exceptional abilities you feel it's a futile effort?

You don't have to think much about it, you just do it and you can see the common sense behind your methods Yet others try to assist and just make any situation worse They cannot seem to understand the proper way to do something with which you are involved or worse yet, they just do what they think is right and simply don't care that they haven't a clue and ultimately make MORE work for you!

Without being rude about it you make specific adjustments to what they're doing...right in front of them... and yet, they're blind. Is it really worth it to have the little bit of extra help...to have to clean up behind them when they're gone?

I don't know, maybe I'm just being a little bitch about it.....

Someone said something to me the other day...not someone I was friends with but just happened to be present when I was talking with another person in the grocery store. It was regarding a health issue and food

My initial thought was "Oh really, and you got your doctorate where..???"

Shortly afterwards I was thinking about it...I know what to eat and whether it's good for me or not. I know how to read. I know how to listen to my body and react accordingly. I'M the boss of me and I know what to do for me!

Does anyone else agree with this kind of situation...not appreciating someone else's unsolicited advice...especially when it sounds uneducated

Please speak up and participate with the rest of the class

Common sense?

It used to be said...and maybe still is... 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'. If you're an atheist does that mean you do not have to bathe? If so then apparently there are quite a few atheist truckers out there

I will never understand what it is about some people who think it is not important to shower daily. I experienced some of the worst situations regarding personal hygiene while driving a truck around the country

A "green" driver is required to go through a training period which means you are teamed up with a "trainer" who will give you real world driving experience and monitor your abilities and offer guidance if necessary. It sucks but it's required by companies who hire students fresh out of driving school. I was required to do 250 hours of training and unfortunately I had 4 trainers. 2 of them were the perfect examples of what a trainer should be...the other 2?

My first trainer picked me up at the Phoenix terminal on a Sunday afternoon. He arrived and dropped off his current student of 3 days (I later figured out why) He informed me he was going in to shower and would come back out to talk a bit and then we would head out. Between then and the following Friday when I got off his truck he did not take another shower

After I got into my own truck I began to experience more and more the amount of drivers who didn't feel a daily shower was important. Until I figured things out a little clearer I did go a day without showering a few times and once went 2 days. I quickly wised up by planning my trips a little better and realizing I could go to a truck stop if I needed to without asking permission

But when you can smell a guy from across the restaurant or convenience store, there is NO excuse! You see, when you fuel up with 50 gallons or more...and 99% of the time it's 'more'.... you get a FREE SHOWER!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, you get fresh towels, soap if you need it, privacy with a locked door...most of the shower rooms were pretty decent with plenty of room and counter space and a toilet. SOME of the showers were not as fancy as others and even a few more were not so spacious, but still, it's hot water and a chance to clean yourself. For free.

I refused to go into the restaurant prior to showering, there's no way I would subject others to something foul while consuming their meal. Some other guys apparently didn't care, quite rude if you ask me. To see some of their trucks it is understandable why they're complete slobs. Being in the public eye in such a condition would be highly embarrassing to me, I am quite dumbfounded to know some people just don't care about that

A driver is REQUIRED to take a 10 hour break every day....you get a free shower for fueling up with 50 gallons or more....isn't it common sense?

The Food Game

Something my brother started several years ago developed into a bit of a fun game between both of my brothers and me. If you have seen my post “is it just me?” or seen a few of my comments on other blogs I have brought forth this game for all to experience

It involves food, better yet, it involves anything edible

Here’s the way it works, you create food dishes or items from anything edible but the object is to make it as unappealing as possible Even though there are no rules to this game, other than the “edible” part, there is one basic guideline I try to teach which is balance. Ahhhh yes, must have a balance Daniel San

For instance, lets try some fish…say Halibut, cook it in strawberry preserves mixed with horseradish then when ready to serve you sprinkle some cayenne pepper and drizzle with chocolate sauce. See the “balance” I’ve created with that combination? If you put a bunch of all nasty things without any sweets or something else contrary it kinda takes away from the effect….IF you grasp the concept of this game that is

Lets try some more examples, shall we?

Take a skittle...yes, just one…and stuff it into a concord grape. Stuff that into a black olive then stuff that into a cherry tomato. Wrap some provolone around it then stuff that into a bell pepper, fill the remaining empty space with marshmallow sauce thinned out with pure lemon juice. Completely cover this with mayonnaise and deep fry for 5 minutes, when done add a dollop of peanut butter and a cherry.

You don’t have to be quite so intricate either, it can always be something simple like jalapeno rice krispie squares or crab cheese cake or jell-o made with hot water. This may be a good way to get yourself started, doing things simply then increasing the embellishments as you go along. Graduate to something like a big bowl of Trix with lima beans then pour whiskey mixed with miracle whip on it. Or maybe try some bacon, cut lengthwise in a noodle maker, boiled like pasta. Cover it with pureed pineapple and salmon made into a sauce with chocolate milk and Jagermeister. Sprinkle some garlic powder on it if ya want

There are soooo many different combinations to be made, could be a lot of fun if you get your family or friends involved, good for some laughs

Another thing my brother came up with, new names for combinations. Say you mix oatmeal and jell-o, you’d call it jell-oatmeal

Most of you know of Nilla Wafers? If you have salmon flavored ones they’d be called Salmonella Wafers

Broccoli flavored chocolate?….. Broccolate

Be creative, be clever and have fun!!

Food

More specifically, food while on the road.

If you mention truck stop food to most people they’d most likely have a negative reaction. In all actuality, most of it is pretty damn good! As long as you stay away from the buffet

For those who may not know, there are basically 5 “name brand” truck stops out there: Petro, T/A, Flying J, Pilot and Loves. There are a few smaller “chains” with several locations out and about including Sapp Brothers and Wilco-Hess. Petro has the Iron Skillet restaurant, T/As usually have a Country Kitchen/Pride, Fork In The Road, Buckhorn or a few have their own independent restaurant. Flying J used to have their own restaurant but when they experienced financial troubles and Pilot bought them out the restaurant was removed and a Denny’s was installed. Uhhhh….no. When you‘re still in your late teens/early 20s and have been out partying all night a Denny‘s might be okay Pilot locations usually have some sort of fast food type situations aside from the Bosselman’s Pilot locations which have a Grandma Max’s restaurant. Loves has fast food type only, a lot of the truck stops usually have a Subway shop even if they do have a regular restaurant or fast food.

Even though the places at the T/As might have a different name they usually had the same menu, as did the Iron Skillet. They didn’t have a whole lot of variety, understandably, but there were several menu items that I preferred and thought were quite delicious. They all had the usual burgers, steaks, chicken, fish, sammiches and salads along with a few specialty type items, usually some type of “thing” of the month These restaurants also had a buffet area. Yeah. I would hardly ever eat anything from the buffet as it was usually a bit crusty around the edges and not usually appetizing. But sometimes they had some fresh food just put out or there was something that I was craving so I’d hit it up and of course there was usually a nice salad bar

One of the best things I had eaten at the Iron Skillet was a new item on their menu the last couple years I was driving and I am pretty sure they still have it available. It's called the Twisted Turkey Reuben I believe Arby’s is serving something similar called a Rachael. Basically it’s shaved turkey meat with some type of southwest chipotle sauce, cole slaw and swiss cheese (I always subbed pepper jack) on toasted rye bread…or wheat can be used too. Messy but very delicious I still make them myself when I have the craving

The T/A had something fairly similar called the Portland Pattie Melt. A burger with pepper jack, grilled onions and chipotle sauce on toasted wheat berry bread. Yeahhh…messy but damn good. I’ve always said when you eat something and it makes a mess on your face it’s gooooooood

One of the things I discovered a little late was a certain way the Iron Skillet and the T/A restaurants charged for their buffet to go. To go? I know, weird…but beneficial They charged by the pound if you loaded up a take out box from the buffet. The reason someone would do this is because you either didn’t want to sit there and eat or you didn’t have enough time to sit and eat, get the breakfast, lunch or dinner stuff to go and eat it at your convenience. The best part about it was the breakfast buffet was usually about $7.99 but the amount of food I’d get for my breakfast usually cost me around $5.…and it was a lot of food too! I’d get several sausages and/or bacon and about 5 or 6 eggs’ worth of scrambled eggs, quite filling for $5

Both the Iron Skillet and T/A restaurants did specials for holiday meals and on Thanksgiving and Christmas they would have real carved turkey and homemade stuffing with all the trimmings. They would also have special deals on Father’s/Mother’s Day and they’d do specials for current or former military personnel.

Quite like those other two the Grandma Max’s restaurants had their own menu with a little bit of variety as well, specials, buffet and salad bar. Rarely did I ever stop at those locations but when I did I enjoyed their Macho Breakfast Burrito, it was quite big and full of eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, cheese and drowning in some kind of green chile sauce. Then covered with more cheese. Needed a nap after eating that one

Sapp Brothers had their own restaurant and although it was usually smaller than the others they had some righteous food available on their menus including a large B-fast burrito as well The thing that made Sapp stand out was their fresh baked pastries, cookies and breads… OMFG….their banana bread was the BOMB!! One of their best menu items was the banana bread French toast. Uh huh, that’s right…banana bread French toast. One inch thick slices of their home made banana bread drowning in the French toast goop, cooked up nicely and smothered in butter and syrup. Another nap please There was one Iron Skillet location, in Racine/Sturtevant Wisconsin that had an awesome bakery as well, always loved stopping there

The few Wilco-Hess locations where I stopped had some sort of kitchen/grill type restaurant, nothing special or fancy but some place you could get freshly made food that was decent.

There was another place where I was lucky enough to have been able to stop a few times, in Johnson Creek Wisconsin. There is a smaller truck stop there, north side of the freeway, enough room for maybe 70 trucks. Not your typical truck stop but they had a restaurant there called The Pine Cone Lodge. EVERYthing and I do mean EVERYthing on their menu was home made style. They also had their own bakery on premises and were evil enough to put the check out register right there where the display counter was for their freshly baked items. Items such as cinnamon buns about 10 inches across and 2 inches thick. Éclairs 8 inches long, 3 inches wide and 4 inches tall, chocolate chip/peanut butter/sugar cookies the size of a small personal pizza, god damned apple fritters the size of a catchers mitt FFS!!! Evil EVIL DEVIL people!!!

Once in a while I was lucky enough to be parked someplace where there was a Bob Evans restaurant close by, they always have great food at very reasonable prices. Or maybe if I was in their area I had relatives who could pick me up and we’d go to a nice place to eat.

My top 5 truck stops out of all the places where I spent the night are:
1 - T/A (Iowa 80, largest truck stop in the world) in Walcott, IA. Had their own restaurant plus several fast food places AND a Dairy Queen LOVE the Blizzard
2 - T/A in Morris, Il located about 30 miles west of Chicago, they had their own restaurant and bakery.*
3 - Petro aforementioned in Racine Wisconsin.
4 - Petro in Fargo ND. Their Iron Skillet was a little more than the others because they had a pizza bar, a potato bar, a Mexican food bar and a bigger salad bar.
5 - Petro (used to be a T/A) in Albert Lea Mn. Located a couple miles south of where the 35 and 90 freeways cross. Their restaurant had a Swedish food theme and several very good items on their menu, they also had a larger convenience store featuring a lot of local cheeses and meats…and the kicker? There was a Cold Stone there

2 “special mentions” would include the Pilot in Tifton Ga. on the 75, they have a Steak ‘N’ Shake there…it was my first experience with that restaurant and I’m damn glad I got to Then there was the Pilot right next to the Werner terminal in Dallas. Well, not so much the Pilot but there was a Whataburger across the street. Another awesome burger joint…they make burgers fresh by your order (you choose what goes on it from the list) and they are like you made them in your backyard on the BBQ

Now, most drivers do not eat in the restaurants every day all day. Most, like me are smart enough to have a plug-in refrigerator or cooler which we stock up with various edibles we buy at a Wal*Mart or a grocery store where we can stop and park. I would frequently get a package of turkey lunchmeat, sliced Swiss and pepper jack cheeses, mustard, mayo and sandwich slices Claussen pickles. I’d take a slice of the Swiss, put a half slice of pepper jack and 3 slices of the turkey and a pickle slice, throw some mayo and mustard on it, roll it up like a taco and munch away. I’d usually have some tortilla chips and salsa with it. Quick and simple

There were a few places where I chose to eat that were less than satisfying. The food was bland or not enough or ill prepared. Or like one place in Virginia where I got some food once. I got the pulled pork BBQ meal. Uhhh… WTF??? This shit tastes like it was cooked in a douche or something, very tart nasty vinegar taste to it. I called the waitress over and inquired, to which she explained in some areas of the country (mostly in the south) their BBQ was like that, just the way they did it. No thanks, I‘ll pass. It usually only took once, maybe twice where I’d have a negative food experience and I’d either not order those items or eat at a different place.

There were a few times in a couple places where a guy had his own portable BBQ set up he’d pull around on a trailer with his p/u truck, always nice to get some freshly BBQed food. I got to experience some different styles of food or different ways it was prepared than what I was used to. One thing I wanted to try once but missed by a day was frog legs. The T/A in Strafford Mo. had a typical restaurant and I was there on a Thursday night once. I noticed on the menu they were doing a frog leg Fridays with fresh frog’s legs. I would have done it just to try it I also tried grits for the first time too. Ummmm, can you say unflavored Malt-O-Meal? Another couple of things I discovered that were damn good, something I had never eaten previously…steak and eggs and biscuits and gravy. Yup, steak and eggs, never had that growing up or ever before going on the road. I was looking for other options for “filling” type food items when I was doing the Atkins diet a few times and since meat and eggs are a primary source of food items for that particular diet I figured I’d give it a shot. Never really seemed like an appetizing combination to me and I hardly ever eat steaks…long story. But DAYUM!! Dems is some good shits!! Big ol’ chunk of steak slathered in egg yolk mmmm hmmmmmmm My parents never fixed biscuits and gravy either so I never got to experience that in my life prior to going on the road and I’ll readily admit, it was hard to stop ordering that

All in all I’d have to say my food experiences on the road were pretty damn good, a lot better than I expected from preconceived notions without any personal evidence to back them up. I discovered some great food combinations and tried some things I never had before, not to mention learning of burger places that were worthy of multiple return visits. If you are ever traveling and feel the need for filling your mouth with some good food, don’t be afraid to stop and try something new, you never know what you’ll find along the way

*The restaurant at that T/A is called R place and is decorated with a shitload of old toys from the 30s or 40s on through the 70s, very cool atmosphere. They have a burger called the Ethyl Burger...it's 2 pounds of meat on a giant roll with lettuce tomato etc. If you can eat it in an hour or less it's free. They have a wall of fame with photos of the conquerors and right next to it a wall of shame containing photos of the not so fortunate

I feel the need to share for some odd reason and after seeing a couple posts asking readers to pose 3 questions which will be answered honestly I decided to play along....with a twist

I'll answer the questions....and the answers may be up front and honest or they just may be an outright totally unbelievable outrageous LIE

Also, please, keep the questions about me (because ultimately I am what's important, mmmmkay??) ...none of those "do you think I'm cute?" "would you fuck me?" questions...those do NOT count

I've recently read on MSN a couple of medical stories...

It was reported a baby boy was born without eyelids. Doctors, baffled at what to do, decided to take some of the baby's foreskin after circumcision and fashion a couple of eyelids and attach them

A few months later it was reported the baby was doing just fine, despite being a little cock-eyed

In a completely unrelated report....

Scientists have discovered recently that diarrhea is hereditary. It runs in your genes (jeans)

No, that was not a typo, I intended to say Two Thousand Thirteen.

I was in OKC (that's Oklahoma City for those who may not know) with my truck in the shop and I was at a hotel, the Springhill Suites to be exact. I-40 exit 146 if I am not mistaken. Werner has a dropyard there in OKC and it was one of my favorite places to be...a very nice disc golf course 7 miles away, a decent truckstop right around the corner from the yard as well as a very large shopping center and food mall/restaurants across the freeway.

I had arrived on or about the 14th or 15th and put my truck in the shop and unfortuantely it was going to take a week to get diagnosed, get the part and get it installed. Oh well, mini vacation! Since I was going to be there on my B-day I thought about going to see a movie but the cost of getting to the theater was too much so I opted to stay in LOL!

Late morning/early afternoon (I do not remember the exact time) on the 20th, the day after my B-day, with the news on the TV they issued a tornado warning and sure as shit an EF5 touched down southwest of Moore which is about 5 miles south of OKC. I watched the whole thing from beginning to end on the news from their helicopter and ground crews. Incredible. Amazing. Devastating. I was awestruck.

I had seen videos, pictures and heard about tornadoes of course, but had never experienced one first hand. I could not believe the damage. It actually traveled right next to the theater I had planned on visiting the day previous. There was one micro neighborhood that was completely leveled...5 or 6 parallel streets each about a half mile long all interconnected. nothing left but piles of lumber. That theater (basically untouched) was located next to a medical center which was also leveled before the twister jumped the freeway and eventually died on the other side after destroying several houses.

I had gone down to the end of the hallway at the hotel and saw the leading edge of the storm as it passed. I continued watching as more reports of damage and casualties came in, police alerts about avoiding the area so rescue workers could do their jobs etc. Despite my previous detached tornado experiences I had to do something. I felt like I could not just sit there without helping in SOME way or another.

The news reported they had set up a relief station for collecting donations for victims. Of course!! I called the station and asked if they could find someone to assist me with a pick-up truck. I was blown off, understandable since they were obviously busy with other things. I went down to the front desk and asked if someone there had a truck or if they knew someone, nope. But the manager said I could use their shuttle van...awesome!!

The driver and I went across the street into the shopping center where the Wal*Mart is and he dropped me off while I went inside. I grabbed a cart and went to work

I loaded in handfuls of soap, about 30 packages of multi-pack toothbrushes, handfuls of travel size toothpaste, 30 or 40 small deodorants, several economy sized packages of toilet paper, diapers and tampons as well as any other bathroom necessities I saw. I had realized there were a great many people who would need these seemingly mundane things, things we normally take for granted but when you don't have them available.....

Then I asked to speak to the manager.

"How much for a pallet of water?" I asked. The manager gave me a little bit of a price break considering why I was buying it. I spent a total of a little over $700 and it didn't seem like it was enough. We loaded it up into the van and headed to the news station. There was a line about a half mile long to get there...what an amazing thing to witness, the community coming together in a time of crisis to help those in need, made me feel good

I walked up ahead to speak to someone about my large contribution and if there was a special place for us to unload, there was

Now, I know this might sound a little bad, but I was hoping for some sort of recognition based on the "large" I was bringing in. Maybe get on the news for a minute, nothing big. Pffft! HA!! What I had brought was just a drop in the bucket compared to what had already been dropped off and there were several other people who had brought very large donations like mine.

Was I disappointed? Hardly!! I was even more awestruck by what I was witnessing, I had never seen anything like that before, community support so strong I suppose some might think me narcissistic for being so proud of myself in stepping up, especially since I was just a visitor. Nope, not even a second thought about it. Once I made my mind up I WAS going to help and there would be no stopping me in any way!

I always felt good about that experience despite the unfortunate circumstances. In the year and a half afterwards I was to remain driving a rig I went through that area 4 or 5 times and it was simply amazing to see the damage on both sides of the freeway not to mention the way construction quickly rebuilt things.

What an awesome event for me to have been a part. I hope to never EVER have to do it again.

While reading/commenting on another blog post from yesterday I remembered something I've wanted to discuss to see if it's just me or if I am correct in my summations...

Time flies...or does it?

When we were didn't we always look forward to our birthday... Christmas.... HALLOWEEN (Halloween, BTW, is my favorite holiday because there's nothing like the look on a little face when they bite into a caramel covered onion ) the Fourth of July!!! etc. etc. etc.

I can vividly remember how anxious we'd get upon the approach of Halloween... all the scary stuff, all the candy, decorations etc. THEN we'd look forward to Thanksgiving and all relative involvement (meaning family members as well as things coinciding with the Thanksgiving holiday) including the 4 day weekend

As the Thanksgiving holiday got closer there would be some talk of Christmas and after turkey day THEN we'd get all into Christmas and it would always seem like FOREVER 'til Christmas morning, right? Then right after Christmas comes NYE!!!!

But as we get older doesn't it seem like things come and go much quicker than when we were ? Sometimes the anxiety isn't for the holiday itself but for the damn nonsense that goes with it to be over The hassles of it all

Then we get to a point where we probably have said at least once..."Didn't we JUST DO that??" Or maybe... "What, THIS again??"

After contemplating all this one time many years ago I came to the conclusion the more we go through time the quicker it comes and goes. Why? Because we've done it all over and over and over and over and over and over and over The novelty of things we experience from our childhood wears off and there isn't as much excitement for things compared to our childhood years.

We have been there and done that many many times previously, we know what to expect and we know how things are going to unfold based on the many times you have already gone through it. Not a pleasant thought, I know. The excitement disappears as the hassles and frustrations take over.

I call it the BFD syndrome

One of my first posts in this "sky art" series was a couple of shots taken in Lebanon Indiana, just north of Indianapolis on the I-65. A couple of shots? I took EIGHTEEN shots FFS!!!...so here's some more from that series

The last one here, close up of the barren tree, is an attempt at being "artsy" with my photography. I thought it would look cool with all the bare branches, the angular look of the tree...nekkid ....details sharp and dark yet uniform... up against the warm colors of the sunset...free flowing unrestricted shapes of the clouds....I don't know, just thought the "contrast" was a cool thing to capture

Regarding the recent posts about bullying causing a blogger to feel like leaving, the support on one "side" or the other and various opinions in between...

WHY???

Although I have only been involved in this blogging scene a couple months I have seen the tools available and the various ways any individual can use them to his or her advantage. If I am not mistaken, blogging is an open forum and we, as individuals, can choose what we want to write or display or share or WHATEVER!!

I can only speak for myself, but I have not been visited by the blog goblin and had my arm twisted behind me, forcing me to view blogs or write anything specific etc. I have, however, read a few posts from a few bloggers who initially caught my interest but subsequent posts left me uninterested so I simply quit checking out the posts made by that person. See how simple it is? I look through the list of posts every day...I scroll the ENTIRE list and view EVERY title. If something catches my eye I'll open it and read. If I like the post and feel motivated to comment, I will. I follow several bloggers here and will always check out their posts, I may not always leave a comment, but I check them out none the less. If it is an intelligent post and I do not fully agree I will find a non offensive intelligent way to express my opinion on the matter. Seems like common sense to me

If I do not like something I choose NOT TO WATCH/READ/LOOK at it further. I do not feel the need to make derogatory comments about which I dislike because it is unnecessary, period. I will preface this next comment by clearly stating I am NOT picking on anyone in particular as I am sure there are more than a few people who have written about this...and I am merely bringing this up out of curiosity. I have seen it written that individuals will call out others on their proposed bullshit. Why? I am curious as to why someone feels the need to point out someone else's nonsense. I see bullshit all the time, usually it's an opinion and like assholes we all have them and we are all entitled to them. I learned long ago people have the right to say whatever they want and if I do not agree then I go another direction. Why start crap with others about whether or not their opinion coincides with yours?

For the most part this blogging community appears to be a fun place, lots of humour going around, plenty of wit, interesting points of discussion and banter as well as a lot of cool pictures of places and things people want to share with others who may never get to experience them. Sounds like a nice thing to me. Why ruin it with petty bickering over differences of opinion?

For thousands of years great minds have invented things that forever changed the way the world operates From architecture to bridges to water movement to medicine to art to machinery to aircraft to space travel to ...get on with it already....got it

What do you think are the greatest inventions in the past saayyyyy....500 years?

Something involving engineering? Medicine? Velcro? I'd love to hear what YOU think...please share with the rest of the class

Thanks!

As for what I think...

Anything involving musical instruments all the way to being able to record sounds so they may be heard repeatedly in various forms Without music life would be a mistake

Making medical care and ease of suffering easier....I just could not imagine how it was back in 1347 (or any other random medieval period before penicillin and painkillers) when there was a war and people were maimed...the suffering, the pain, the misery involved for who knows how long afterwards

The advancement of communications...connecting the world so we may share information with one another. Too bad it's highly abused

The advancements in travel...albeit harmful to the environment in these later years. Hopefully the next group of inventors will figure out a way to transport people and things more efficiently and environmentally sound

For whatever reason I cannot comprehend at this time there are a few areas of this country where there is a ton of women who are absolutely gorgeous!!! Some sort of high tech chick magnet or what, I don't know

No personal offense to the people of Chicago but I HATE that place!! OMFG, the traffic is unreal most times and the few times I had to actually make a delivery there (in the general area), what a major pain in the ass If you look at a large roadmap of the greater Chicago area you might agree it looks like a giant spider web with the city right next to the ocean (yes, I said OCEAN...something I might blog about later ) and all the freeways and highways head away from it in all directions

But I always looked forward to going through there...just a little mind you...because of the female population residing there I would constantly see beautiful women on the road anywhere around the greater Chicago area

Another (obvious) area was Los Angeles, but the frequency was less than Chicago. Valparaiso is a little south and east of Chicago but there was another small city where the women were just gorgeous, everywhere I looked!!

Most of the larger cities have their share as well, but those few mentioned above beat them all, LOL Now as far as truckstop restaurant waitresses go....another time
