I know I am naive but not as naive now as I was when I joined. I had just lost my two closest and best girlfriends to death and was also recently divorced. I realized that I needed to make new friends. I saw A F F and the "friend finder" drew my attention. Little did I know that those words had a different connotation on this website. But, I was accustomed to online dating so I took it all in stride even though this site is by far the most explicit. I've always been looking for a long term relationship but not necessarily marriage. I want one man in my life that is my best friend and lover. Period. I love the blogs and have traded the chat rooms for blogging and haven't looked back. I've met hundreds of people from this site and with the exception of 2 stinkers it's been a worthwhile adventure for me. Never ignore those who care for you you will have lost diamonds while you were collecting stones

I would love to meet somebody in real life and have a flesh and blood relationship in the real world. But I still love this site and the friends... and I have no idea how to meet real life single men. I just assume they're all married when I'm out and about.

I'm not so sure I ever saw this place as a "dating site" but if I did, I did so contemptuously. As far as dating is concerned I am still a great believer in the old ways and still meet lots of folks in normal day to day, face to face contact. More likely I saw this place more as somewhere to let off a bit of steam especially where more steamy topics are concerned. Sir Teezalot WAR IS ABSURD

Online dating sucks!!!! It's a necessary evil. I don't plan to leave this site anytime soon... it (the blogs) serves a completely different purpose. Everyone of interest is just to dammmmm far away, and all but a handful of profiles local to me on site aren't real. I have never been one to settle, so for me HotMatch.com is not a dating site. Find pleasure in giving pleasure

Since I found love through the blogs on this site, I hang around here for sentimental reasons. The love affair ended, but I found new love on a different site. Thanks for reminding me... my aunt told me to just start asking guys out for coffee. You can still go for a platonic cup of coffee even if the guy is married. I'll put that on my "things to do in 2015". Got other stuff to worry about right now.

Well...I joined at the encouragement of my hubs. I was on here years ago, before he and i were dating, but never really got into it. I was too into the myspace phase and really have never been about the quick hookup. So why am I here? I am finally at an age where i am comfortable with myself and my life and i want to meet other people like me who maybe want to mess around but are also cool to hang out with. so while I may not be looking for sex, i am looking for cool people. my hubs is into the blogging and i am just starting too. I have always liked to blog and now i get to do it on topics that are taboo on other sites. haha!
