1) Robert Heinlein including papers, essays, letters and lectures. 2)Tie between FRIDAY by Robert Heinlein and THE LEGACY OF HEROT by Nivens, Pournelle and Barnes 3)Yes but I figured you didn't go to Catholic school and suffer thru Sister Lucy and Sister Margaret. 4) Friday Jones from FRIDAT by RAH and most recently Jodenny Scott from THE OUTBACK STARS by Sandra McDonald 5) See #2 6) Didn't really get into reading until 12 or 13 then it was DOVE by Robin Lee Graham 7) THE SEA LADY by Margaret Drabble was my least favorite. Not a bad book at all and there were parts I liked but I found I wanted to just get thru it so I could get onto something else. Most liked so far is ALTERED CARBON by Richard K. Morgan. Very inventive ideas. 9) STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND by Robert Heinlein 10) Dave Eggers not only a great author but works hard to promote literacy and writing in young people 11) & 12) FRIDAY There is a whole long thread on the Heinlein Society website about who would play what parts and who should write, direst etc. this movie. All the fans of this book have the same mixed feelings about Hollywood getting hold of it and ruining it like many other sci fi classics 13) Sandra McDonald and I exchanged a few e-mails and that started a whole dreamfest about her for me. She and I cruising to exotic destinations on my 40' sloop writing about out discoveries and erotic adventures. 14) the graphic novels EX MACHINA, SIN CITY AND DANGERGIRL for the art of course 15) THE GOLDEN RATIO by Mario Livio I got it but it was really boring 16) John Steinbeck 17) T S Elliot 1 I never read any of the books recommended in my college lit classes 19) Other than sci fi or natural science I don't read much. But THE HUNGRY OCEAN by Linda Greenlaw was great and I enjoyed THE DA VINCI CODE by Dan Brown 20) MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT DREAM is the only one I've seen in college 21) THE MENACE FROM EARTH by Robert Heinlein Talk about flying..... 22) THE HUNGRY OCEAN by Linda Greenlaw 23) Robert Heinlein and recently Dave Eggers Thanks for the thought provoking questions.
