WTF is a dating ID and/or verification and what is the process for getting it (them)?
Please be as specific as possible.
Is it a tangible ID card like a drivers license?
Is it a code sent to my email?
How much does it cost for a dating ID?
What is verification?

Who issues these items?

 As a former banker, it's so easy to get information on anyone, Hopefully you have at least their first if not last name as well before meeting in person.

If you use "Google" type in their e-mail address and see what comes up. Then type in the first and last name. I did that recently on someone from another dating site I have been chatting with and his same photos came up on a site that came up as a "dating scammer." He lived in Nigeria and apparently stole someones face pictures and opened a profile at the site. He had been hinting at the fact that he had fallen on hard times recently and needed money. That is what made me suspicious. Start there, and even if you have a phone number and an area code you can get limited information on Google for that too. LOTS of fake and phony profiles out there so use caution and always follow your instinct.
