The Current "Flood" of Newest Member Fake/Scam Profiles ... but are they ..... .  ... or, BOTH??? In addition to the 'usual' fake/scam profiles that show up every day on the Newest Members section of the site, I noticed that the current 'FLOOD' of them are being posted by what can only be described as "Lazy or just plain Stupid(s)"! ALL OF THEM are of 18 to 25 year old women from the USA, with pictures, ALL OF THEM have the title of "Hello There"; and, ALL OF THEM have the same line on their Introductions: "Loking For some fun" There are literally and figuratively too many of them on that section of the site to even bother reporting them, but hopefully, it will save some of the 'less-educated' guys who look at them from making costly mistakes by commenting on their pictures or trying to contact them. . |

The flurry of fakes are a result of the feds killing Backpage and related services. Most will be solicitations.

What surprises me is the rafy of young(ish) women looking for a "soul mate" on this site. Apart from the fact that few of us are in that market, these womens are usually on the other side of the Atlantic!

I really don't think beating a dead horse on this subject over and over again is going to accomplish anything but the repeated comments of the same people who experience the same things that the blog poster has experienced and in reality no one is actually twisting anyones arms to stay on here if they have to constantly keep reminding those of us who have a goal on here ...so stop whining and get on with things you wanted to accomplish when you signed up..ffs people its not a career its a sex site... lol

its terrible...they start with a normal name followed by a combination of 3 letters and numbers...easy to spot but annoying

this has been going on for years and years. Many of them get deleted after a few days to a week. They're easily spotted by having a screenname with random numbers. If you view the profile, they'll usually have generic wording or a cut/paste description. Majority of the fake female profiles I've found have 1 face pic and 1 tits pic. More than 75% I find use pictures of pornstars. More than 50% of those use Dani Daniels pics. lol. I can go on and on about spotting these fakes but they make it pretty damn obvious. If I do find a profile of interest but seems might be fake, I will do a google image search of their profile pictures. Not always 100% accurate but will quickly confirm any pictures stolen from a website. As far as reporting these profiles, I don't think HotMatch.com really does anything about this anymore. I saw a profile a couple weeks back that stole videos of one of the most popular profiles to try and pass as their own. It was reported by many. I even tried to report it but the link wasn't even active to do so

You'd think the site would know by now that using bots isn't going to lessen the gender imbalance and that women don't need to be reminded that taking the initiative might get them closer to their goals without the headache of having to treat those unworthy as human beings.I have to agree with the vindictive mean lady this isn't a career. Using more than all the road!

Patti, as usual, an informative and helpful blog post. The only one to watch... You are totally correct about the current flood. I don't even bother with a new member search anymore. Keeps me busy enough reporting the ones that interact with me, view, contact, flirt and hotlist. A recent uptick that I have seen lately is obviously fake Gold members with local, targeted profiles. They will want to meet for coffee or dinner but of course, get you offline first with text or email. That is quickest way to give up personal information that can be used to steal your identity or part you with your money. Never give out your number and use an anonymous email account for offline communication. For the skeptical like FireGod*****, contrary to popular belief, HotMatch.com does react and deactivate fake accounts. Enough reports will get them gone. When you do report, don't just comment on their photos that they are fake, click Report Abuse and give them some evidence. Copy and paste their terms of use violation like the website, phone number or email they sent or do a "Search Google for image" using the Chrome web browser and send the link. I hope in commenting, that like you, we can help out some of the naive that are ignorant of the scammers with fake profiles, photos and locations. -- Take care Patti!
