Fake Profiles: How Stupid Can Some Guys Get --- How Slow Can Report Abuse Be To Delete Them? . CLARIFICATION NOTICE: The pictures seen on this Blog post are from the Internet and none of the web sites that they were obtained from had any warnings about copying or using them. Most of us who have been around these Blogs for even a few months have already read more than enough posts about fake profiles that use celebrities pictures on them, right? Sorry, but here's another one that I saw yesterday, allegedly from Brooklyn, NY:  Without revealing the profile name (which would be a no-no), let's just say that this isn't the first time I've noticed this profile picture plastered on my screen. Now, as many of us already know, all one has to do is use the search for image feature on Google Chrome, or Tineye if you're using a different search engine, and if that picture has any history on the Internet it will be so revealed, along with any and all web site links to it. Well, guess what..? That's right --- there are a LOT of web site links for this one, but surprisingly the one that I *clicked* on was for information about an episode of Seinfeld!  Doug Neidermeyer = Bob Cobb (AKA, The Maestro) " The Maestro (don't you dare refer to him as Bob Cobb) was played by the same guy that played Doug Neidermeyer, the overzealous bully cadet from the Omega house in Animal House. This is what we call "career longevity" for an anonymous character actor. " As a conscientious member of this site I did my duty and used the Report Abuse link below the profile picture, checking suspected fake account and photo on the drop-downs, as well as providing a copy-and-pasted URL link in the Comment box. That was yesterday (Friday, August 11th) morning. This afternoon (Saturday, August 12th), it's STILL there! Now, far be it from me to be critical, but why can't they take action on a reported abuse in a timely fashion --- And, can anyone provide a ball-park estimate on how long it usually takes them to actually delete these fakes? No wonder the guys go nuts when they see fake profile after fake profile using pictures of porn stars, the Kardashians, Russian Mail Order brides, and ""..! . |

It's amazing how many people can't spot them! Or better yet now knowing they are watching a video on "cam" and keep trying to talk to "it"! SMH!

Yes I notice a lot of fake profiles on here..it is a shame.. You can't expect to be Old & Wise..If You were never Young & Crazy!!!

Seems the people in the Abuse Dept, take weekends off. I've had the same problem for months and months. Nothing really happens on the weekend. A not so slow month though, already busted 9 of the damn things, the site is crawling with them, men's, women's, and couple's.

This has been going on for years no matter if someone uses a celebrity profile or not use one at all. It is all in the matter of timing I suppose when they want to look at things.

I've registered complaints for profiles which have photos which break their terms and conditions - pictures of a guy on a female photo; profile photo containing five people - that kind of thing. And nothing is done about it, I still see them on my "Who Is Online" and "Members Near You" every time I log in.

I use google images and tineye for pics I find suspicious. Spotted a lot of fakes. All my pics on here are 100% me. Your pics are incredibly sexy and real.

Indeed. I got so frustrated with all the fakes from all the sites I've used that I compiled a list several years ago listing several potential indicators and patterns common to the fakes. For Real Part 2 Spotting the fakes UPDATEDJUN 2017

I pay very little attention to profile views here. It's rather redundant to report this sort of abuse back to the same place that produces it. It's not a beneficial move to do this to women. So those you receive are from true and desperate, I might ad,dogs butts in heat! Using more than all the road!

I've noticed that locally, the Vera Wang wedding tuxedo collection is a top choice for men's profile pics.... with the heads cropped off of course!
