For time immemorial older (usually wealthy) men have courted much younger (usually pretty) women.

But in the last, oh, ten-ish years, the "cougar" phenomenon has taken hold, making it not only socially acceptable but even *fashionable* for older women to date younger men.

Definitions:
Puma: Woman in her 30's
Cougar: Woman in her 40's
Jaguar: Woman in her 50's, 60's, 70's, etc.
