 People think to have physical sex means the person is no long a virgin. But there is another way , too. When a person gains knowledge of sex, this too can mean the person is not a virgin anymore.

A reasonable question if the male is trying to avoid women who still have the wide-eyed wonderment about a penis going in her vagina being the sign of never ending love. In other words , he is trying to avoid lint. Women who cling to their first or second penis conquest.

Other than that, who knows why. Maybe he gets his jollies that way.

 I have never figured out what the mystic is about virgins but there sure seems to be a lot of BS out there concerning them.
An interesting side issue showed up here concerning how to refer to the milestone in ones life where they no were no longer a virgin. How it came about may affect the word you most dislike or find most appropriate I expect..
