Age difference A coworker mentioned today that the "appropriate" maximum age difference is found by taking the older person's age, dividing by 2, then adding 7. The "rule" is you can't date anyone who's age is below that number. So this means, I can't date anyone younger than 31 1/2. Or something like that. This seems like a big window to me. According to this formula, a 40 year old could date anyone between the age of 27 and 66.  |

Sounds reasonable although I like closed to my own age..... Like 49!

I would not listen to them,go with the flow as long as they are over 21 and are mature. I my self like older women

Mine would be 19 years my junior, too young for me to consider dating.

I'd be curious to know who it was that came up with that "formula" .....

Age is a personal choice and maturity is selective, I prefer someone within 10 years either way so we have some common ground

Well, ours is 32.5 years. Whew!
