Beyond insane. Wonder how much life insurance his wife will get- probably has a suicide clause in it

I had Airborne training in the 18 the Infantry back in the late 1950's and it scared the heck out of me and a lot of the other guys to jump off the 30 foot training tower....But...this Aikens COULD make the jump and survive it IF the net is rigged properly and IF he's able to hit it while free falling..

This is why we studied physics kids*, this is risky but not as risky as it might seem. You have a lot of critical information: his weight, how far he has to fall, nd the speed at which he'll fall. Based on that you can figure out the size and bounciness of the target. You want him to hit it with enough drama so that there's a bounce but not so much that he bounces off and winds up as a sack of splintered bones.

The biggest risk is making sure he hits the target. We know how fast the plane will me moving but wind, however mild, can affect the angle at which he approaches, and hits, the earth.

*And notice I said *studied*. If you're like me, you studied it but remembered next to none of it
