Can a Man and a Woman have Platonic friendship?

Between flights i watch a lot of movies with English subtitles in my hotel room. This one is a Bollywood movie called Hum Tum ( forgive me if i got the name wrong) which has inspired me to post this . Can there be a Platonic relationship between a man and a woman without hidden agendas? I mean just like two straight men or two straight women who are friends with all the bitchiness and the jealousy and yet care for a friend.
yes
no

I have platonic friendships with several women, including 2 ex-gfs. No hidden agendas with either just friends

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

What about their hidden agendas?

I answered to that "No hidden agendas with either just friends". That said hidden agendas are hidden so they aren't known IF they exist.

Of course a man & woman can have a platonic friendship, but if one is sexually attracted to the other and it's not reciprocated, then that can be problematic

Platonic and sexual attraction are contradictory.

I have platonic relationships with women I work with and women in my running and triathlon club. They all have hidden agendas in that they all want to have sex with me. I am ok with that.

Do i gather that you are not sure if there are hidden agendas at their end? The platonic friendship exists only at your end, may we conclude?

Do i gather that you are not sure if there are hidden agendas at their end? No, by their nature anything hidden is not known. In this case I am sure there is no non- platonic intent with any of them.

No, it is on both ends.

I have platonic friendships with both men and women, never seems to be a problem, but have noticed that some friends have moved on, they must have changed their minds but never told me, a few, I wished they had spoken, I might have given the subject some thought after it was brought up, my thoughts had changed after they, only because I now view them in a different light . . . . .

I voted "yes" but I only vote that way if there has already been a sexual experience there already or one is gay and the other not. If sex has already happened and both people are over it, you could totally be friends, like Jerry and Elaine on "Seinfeld".

That's because the question of sex has already been solved.
My best friend is a guy now. I've had several guy friends that have been my best friend at different periods of my life. One of my best ones in my 20's was my best friend and still close, is gay.

Kk

The observant make the best lovers,
I may not do right, but I do write,
I have bliss, joy, and happiness in my life,
