Why can't people return messages ?

Why is it that some people cant take a couple of minutes of there time to reply to a message ? Even if you're not interested at least reply with no thanks or sorry you're not my type . Is that asking too much ?

 I get what you're saying Sassy but I don't send messages to people I know won't be interested . I respond to every message that is sent to me . and It's not just the women that don't respond
