Sunday night walk
My neighborhood, Silicon Beach... Ocean Park, Santa Monica and Venice Beach has become one of the hot spots for the technology business in this country. Hundreds, well let me not exaggerate maybe it is just a few dozen new millionaires (at least on paper with stock options) have moved here over the last few years. Yes google, the old yahoo, Snapchat , Twitter and many other startups that have fueled the tech boom here in my neighborhood.

The bars on Main Street used to filled with college aged students, buying a pitcher of beer, maybe a Long Island iced tea or some kind of shot with a chaser. The girls getting perfectly loose with tight fitting jeans, the boys getting wild lusting after the girls. Oh those were the old days. My, some things have changed.

Last night on my walk, Main Street was filled with a mix of electric scooters, Uber / Lyft cars trolling for future passengers and pedestrians creating a seemingly a fashion show runway of Prada, Dolce Gabbana and Armani that must be the new fashion norm, casually understated. When did New York move to this Southern California beach town?
