War has a smell.

I am a non combat veteran of desert storm U.S. Navy where we reach out and touch someone from afar and don't you forget it ! So I hate to say it war has a smell veterans know what I am talking about. I can smell it please don't let it be so. It goes right to the gut and the gut never lies.
