Anniversary Day

Jan 12 2012 my life changed forever. I was at work and was on the phone and just fell asleep, or so it seemed. I awoke the next day in the ICU while they were pulling a breathing tube out of me. My then GF was there holding my hand. When I was able to I asked what happened, she told me I had a massive heart attack. WOW reality time. Seems I just laid my head down on my desk like I was going to sleep and my co worker couldn't wake me up. Next thing you know they were doing CPR on me and even broke a rib in the process. I am forever thankful to those folks on the Emergency Response Team where I worked at the time.
Well anyway back to my story, about a week and a half and bypass surgery later I was sent home. Since then I have had a few life changing events. The GF who was there for me, I caught her cheating about two months after this event. I lost my job about 7 months later due to bankruptcy and a big merger. I had my car stolen from in front of the house. Since then I have got a better car, had a headhunter come look for me and got me a better job, in my home town at that. And my health has improved, but I just started a gym program to really get me back on track. I have met a few Ladies here and there but still looking for a great GF .
Life is pretty good and I don't take things or people for granted anymore. I've done a few things out of the norm for me. Appeared in a comedy short, been in a rock video. Been live on stage with an Improv Comedy class I took and now going to a sketch writing class to improve my skills.
Met a Lady when I lived in Tulsa who introduced me to some new experiences.
Life has been good and it's only getting better. So maybe some would look at that experience as a downer, well maybe initially it was but in the long run I grew from the experience. I know I can get back up when knocked down and make it better.
I do truly feel Loved Lucky and Blessed.

Now if I could fine someone to really show me the Love I'd be a very happy man...LOL.

 Nice blog post. Sometimes, life gives you a wake up call... Some people listen and others don't. It sounds like you are on the right track to making changes in your life. You can't change everything all at once. Sometimes you need baby steps. Any time you spend at the gym working out is more than you had done in the past. Good Luck, sorry you live so far away. It would be nice to meet you.
