Abusive messages; how do you deal with them?

I'm getting a lot!

"Why aren't you interested in men over forty?"

"Why aren't you interested in fat guys?"

"Take care...you'll need it!" < sounds a tad threatening to me

"You're a bitch!"

And so it goes on...

I always thought honesty was the best policy, but it seems guys don't appreciate it.

Depending on my mood I'll either ignore, delete it, laugh it off, share it with friends for a giggle or reply to them with some smartass comment then block them just to get the last word, haha. Hey, I'm a woman, it's what we do

How do you deal with abusive messages? Do you think men are more abusive than women? Vice versa? Or equal.

Share your experiences if you will

Holly

If someone takes the time to smart off to me, i'll just cuss them out in return, then block them so they cannot respond.

I wouldn't even cuss them out as that's pretty much lowering yourself to their low standards Although I'm cussing inside my head, haha.

Yeah the getting the last word is quite satisfying

Make fun of them;feel sorry for them;report them;name and shame them;belittle them;point out that they're over 40 and acting like silly little kids

Shame on them I say.

Sites like this need to come down hard on men who think it's okay to send abusive emails to women. Yeah it's online, but I have a sister and I know how she felt getting hate mail from some dude on a site - not this one. It unsettled her and although she knew he couldn't harm her in any way, that's not the point. It's unfair that women should have to put up with this bs.

No real men would abuse a woman btw, online or off

Keep smiling kid and screw the haters...not literally of course

I do feel for your sister And yes it is unsettling when the words are very harsh!

Agreed, none of the abusive guys are real men

Here's a message I received today. Talk about nasty, bitter and dowright rude? Wow, just wow. I have reported this idiot. I do hope HotMatch.com delete his account. Paid member or not, he has no right to send such hate mail to people

You are a very short-sighted woman, I'm probably a better lover than the majority of the thick dicks you've been sucking on, so what if I'm over 40 big fucking deal! Hey if we can have some fun, well whoopee. Some day when you're over 40 looking for that sympathy fuck, you might just remember what a short sighted bitch you were

Ignore the dumb, simple ones.

Mock the really stupid, personalized, well-thought-out ones. Then post them on my blog for other people to make fun of.

Oh, but there are so many dumb, simple ones

I like the exposing them idea, and not in a good way, haha.

Thanks for commenting and have a wonderful day!

Having been on these kind of sites for a few years I can say that I can't recall ever having received an abusive message (behaviour after meeting maybe but not messages), granted 90% of the time the initial contact has been made by me!

I have spoken to quite a few women who have all said they have received either abusive or derogatory messages after either not responding ,deleting messages or declining offers.

Honesty is nice- I do appreciate those that take the time to message back, even if it's to say 'No thanks' but I'm aware of the high number of messages women get on the sites, (most being crude or one liners) so I don't sulk or get abusive when I don't get a reply or it's a 'No'- I'm not everyone's cup of tea- that is until I use my Lynx spray and then I have to either run or grin and bear it

Finally, a man who knows it's no big deal to get rejected by a stranger on a site and deals with it appropriately, yay

I do reply with a 'Thanks, but I'm not interested.' to members who have taken the time to read my profile. The rest I ignore. Which seems fair enough. If they can't be bothered reading my profile then I simply cannot be bothered wasting my time telling them what morons they are

Lynx spray, huh Good luck with that

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Have a wonderf
ul day

Block and delete and yay for the last word!!! I don't think abusive messages on HotMatch.com will ever go away unfortunately.

Horny_Holly replies on 7/23/2014 6:21 am:
Haha, yes, I'm all about getting that all important last word

Abuse on any online community will, as you so rightly say, always be there. But I'm a great believer in Karma

Thanks for your c
