Oh WOW!! So simple and so deep and you are so right!! I don't recall watching the movie, (was to to young, lol) but is definitely my kind of movies, and will look for it - Thank you! Although there was something else that draw my attention on the way you described the movie main character... "In another life and another time he might have been a forest recluse and woodsman. He was born out of his proper time and place..." That is something I believe deeply... Not to mention that Trees can actually be good advisers... Those 31 people are worth about a half a TRILLION dollars. Average maintenance can run $10,000 a month. A lot of super rich want to live there. Barbra Streisand, Neil Sedaka, junk bond tycoon Nelson Peltz, and Russian billionaire Leo Blavatnik have all been rejected by the co-op board at 740 Park. All he is trying to do is catch up with 740 Park in prestige and get Russian and Chinese billionaires to shell out over 100 mil per unit. It would translate into a few billion more to Trumps wealth. He wants to be king of the hill and top of the heap. He is no where there yet. Tag of conservative, liberal etc are all BS. They play both sides for their benefit. While Bernie people and Trump people beat each other, The top .01%, they live like extended family, play together, go to each others functions even marry each other. If he becomes President it will be business as usual. All these people are buddies and take care of each other. Trump's daughter and Clinton's daughter are best friends. Unlike most slum lords, he takes good care of them. It is an oasis of clean, calm and is free from violence. The rent is very cheap as well. Best deal in town. He didn't sell and get out. So there are 2 trumps. One who competes with the old money and acts crazy, craves attention and acceptance by the elites and one who never forgot where he came from. If you go to East Orange, most of his poor tenants have a personal story of his un advertised generosity. I agree 100% with you that we have 2 classes. rich and poor.
