Is anyone reading your Profile?

Is anyone reading your Profile?  I don’t mean skim… I mean really reading, comprehending and digesting. Lots of complaints on this site, (and every other dating site for that matter) regarding that issue from ladies. What’s the best way to go about accomplishing this… ensuring your profile is being read and that you don’t waste time? Keep your profile short? Make it very detailed and thorough? Or does presenting a point form list work best? I came across a profile on another site that has thought this through, and it may really separate those who have read and processed your words, and those who haven’t. What the lady did, what she interspersed a simple math question in her profile, are requested that any writing to her place the answer in their e-mail. If you are going to try this, may I suggest you request they lead with the answer; makes for quick and easy, read/delete/file execution. I guess my profile is just as long as it should be, IMHO. I've read them longer (and gotten bored ) and I've read them shorter (hi, I'm a fun guy, looking to meet fun women - blah ). Most people just look at your photo, where you are from, and send that canned email no matter what you write/don't write. 2022... it HAS be better, right?!

It's always a fine balance between keeping the profile text concise and short and the text detailed and long. My profile text is probably too long and it also needs updating.

It hard to tell who the real lurkers are now that the site allows a mouse over to equate a view. I am very carful where I position the mouse on the page, when on my computer. It happens in the blogs also. It sucks that the CEO has chosen to allow this deceptive practice. Find pleasure in giving pleasure

I have had that happen many times. It clearly says what we are looking for! Yet I am asked do you do this or do you do this? Change you headline to state that you are old looking for women! Standard users can see that. Also in big bold letters in your profile write up, re-state women only. Additional you may even want to start a blog, put a copy of your profile there ( I have been meaning to do that also), make the post stickey. I have thought about changing my profile here for a while now.....I actually sat and looked at it yesterday for about an hour and didn't know what to say.....strange, I'm not usually lost for words but it still gets me the sort of contact I don't want....so I backed away and didn't change it.  I like Maths....maybe I should go with the equation!!!!  ~~Anais Nin~~

It's definitely a picture only thing.I have never not posted my face so that has kept the traffic to an extreme minimum.Everyone's always saying everyone's different and looking for what ever blows their skirt up. A woman can come here as apprehensive as all hell,post a body part in an alluring picture and after the first day and 200 emails.Day two and she's demanding face pictures and asking if there are any decent men left in the world.Deleting blocks of mail they never expected, leaving those that mailed them crossing them off their already mailed list without a clue that they never read let alone looked at them. There are a lot of arrogant guys that come across as having entitlement issues but in reality you find out very quickly who touts the entitlement cards. Using more than all the road!

Man that's taking laziness to a new level, and wonder if that's his attitude towards satisfying his partner. I get and agree with fact that conversations makes thing a whole lot clearer than the written word... but still, I would want to know if someone is looking for a submissive or circus sideshow sized Johnson, before I spend any time messaging them. It makes no particle of difference what a profile states, how long or how short. No one reads it or comprehends it. I get that standards cant read profiles but it does get frustrating at times. What really makes my butt twitch is the gold members who don't read and comprehend. I guess their gold membership isnt working out too well for them. SMDH

I'm a fan of brevity. I don't believe any profile is going to tell me everything about a person, or be the sole measurement of compatibility. For mine, I try to be brief and to the point about who I am and what I am looking for, with my only, absolute dealbreakers listed. I like to leave the door open as wide as possible, cause what attracts me to a man has been different for each man that I've been involved with. I can seldom discern that from a profile, no matter how well or poorly written. I don't think that the majority of men read them, either because they're standard or for 100 other reasons. My dealbreakers are distance and one night stands, yet many men contact me from another state or seeking instant sex. But overall, the profile is primarily the first point of contact, not the last.

Sis you are are going to have to explain... I don't see how it couldn't, with regard knowing if they actually read your profile or not. I am not suggesting for a second that what she is doing will get more people to read, just separate those who did and didn't. Find pleasure in giving pleasure
