I've never been with a woman who had pierced nipples, and prefer them to be unhindered. That being said... I ain't gonna kick her out of bed for having some.

Thoughts from the Garden...

First, all piercings are prone to infection, because flesh on most of your body is not as welcome to foreign objects as the thin membrane of the ear, and even those can become easily infected.

Tongue studs cause damage to the teeth and promote deterioration. They also effect taste buds. They can't not do these things to a human body no matter how much the person with them loves their piercings. When the body can't rid itself of an object it's only defense is to kill the nerve cells surrounding it, not heighten sensation.

Wearing a piercing will eventually lessen sensation to the nipple or clitoris. I'm sure many will say it has made them more sensitive, but in the long term nerves react to trauma by becoming desensitized. Short term they may make the nipple more sensitive, but eventually you will lose sensitivity --- it's simple anatomy. It is how the body handles extended pain.

They can be attractive and exotic, and I have no problems with them but when I'm having sex I would as soon not have to worry about chipping a tooth.

But before doing this look into the high infection rate and some of the horror stories and keep in mind eventually wearing a piercing will decrease sensitivity. No one cares if an ear lobe is sensitive, I would think nipples and the clit another matter.

Lust brings you together, love keeps you there, sex keeps the mechanism lubricated.

I adore both seeing, and playing with, pierced nipples, but back a few years ago when my then current lover was contemplating getting hers done we opted out. Our concerns were loss of sensitivity due to scar tissue formation (she was exceptionally sensitive and could cum from nipple stimulation only), and infection.

But pierced ones DO made a good leash attach point!

Here is a list I found of possible problems. As far as I know most people with piercings don't have these problems, but they are possible and have happened. Good or bad, I always say know what you are getting into.

Body piercings

Body piercing is very popular with both men and women. Many areas of the body are used for piercing. Most people who have piercings do not develop any problems.

The ears are the most common piercing site. Most of the time, an earlobe piercing heals without any problems. Piercing other areas of the ear usually involves piercing the cartilage that gives the ear shape. Piercing ear cartilage creates a wound that is harder to clean, takes longer to heal, and is more likely to become infected than earlobe piercing.

Other popular sites include the mouth and tongue, nose, eyebrow, navel, and genital area. Each body piercing site has its own normal healing time and its own set of potential problems. Home treatment can help speed healing of the wound and prevent problems. At first, a body piercing site may be slightly swollen. A small amount of blood or fluid may drain from the site.

Common problems that develop from body piercing include:
Infection of the site. Infection of the mouth or lips may cause speech, chewing, or swallowing problems or swelling that can block the throat.
Infection of a nipple can scar the breast tissue and limit the ability to breast-feed later.
The infection may be potentially serious or life-threatening and involve the entire body (systemic).

Splitting or tearing of the skin, which may cause the formation of scar tissue.
Problems with the type of jewelry used, including allergies to a metal. Make sure you use the type of jewelry designed for your piercing site. Only use nonallergenic jewelry. Surgical stainless steel, gold, platinum, niobium, and titanium are the only types of jewelry you should use in a new piercing.
Other problems caused by the jewelry. Jewelry in the mouth or lips can cause chipping or cracking of the teeth, gum problems, and difficulty chewing or swallowing. Jewelry can also become loose and be swallowed.
Jewelry in the navel can get caught on clothing and linens. This constant irritation can delay healing. Navel piercings can take up to a year to heal completely.
Jewelry in the genital area may cause injury to you or your sex partner. It also can cause condom breakage, increasing the risk of pregnancy and exposure to sexually transmitted infections. Piercings in the penis can decrease a man's ability to get or maintain an erection.

Damage to underlying blood vessels or nerves.
Scarring of the piercing site.

If a sterile technique is not used, there is a chance of spreading diseases, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). Blood infections (sepsis) can occur if a sterile technique is not used.

I'm a fan of both options. If I'm honest,it all boils down to sensitivity: If I can make a woman squirm by teasing her nipples,I'm a happy man

pierced nipples are nice and sexy to look at ... not as much fun to play with! Especially if it is a metal that I have an allergy to like silver... yeah not good!

I don't know if he is speaking from experience (having his own nipples pierced); But, having had my nipples pierced for about 15 years - I can say that is NOT TRUE.

During the healing period, they did lose sensitivity, and I have to admit I was worried. But, after about 6 weeks - they returned to "normal", and are just as sensitive now as they ever were before I had them done. On the other hand, sensitivity has NOT increased, other than sensitivity to cold. I also enjoy being able to wear jewelry, such as dangling pearls, chains, etc. (like those pictured in one of the comments), and I really like the feeling of wearing weights and having them tied together, etc.

Piercings allow you to "pleasure" your nipples in so many ways that are difficult, without them.

If you really want to do it, for yourself alone, go for it.

IHO I prefer my partner to be natural short of grooming that is.
The sweet and innocent look always makes it more kinky when doing unnatural things to her.

Quoting kinkyfem73: "...changing them isn't difficult?"

Mine are rings, and not removable (except by a certified piercer). I would suggest that you seriously consider either barbells, or D-rings, which are straight piercings, instead of curved. This will allow you to add metal "shields" which come in many decorative patterns, behind the piercing jewelry.

I add my jewelry to my rings, with jewelry "jump rings". I used to be able to remove the beads and put them back, but I had the rings "tightened" so the beads don't pop off accidentally, and cause me to lose the rings.

Believe me, having to have a nipple re-pierced is so many times more painful than the original piercing - try to never have that done ! !

To me it does not make a difference, some people like it, some don't. It is all about you, it you think it looks good or make you feel sexier then go for it, you can always take them out if you change your mind.

Nipples are wonderful and beautiful all by themselves, you don't need to bling them out.

Personal preference to the woman, what she enjoys, I want to suck on nipples, real flesh, I don't want the feel or taste of metal in my mouth. Maybe if they are easily removable? They can be attractive especially the pics you posted. I'd like to see them, touch them, and then remove them.

Pierced nipples are as useful and desirable as a pierced tongue... one look at them and I'm out of there. At least piercings can be removed, unlike tattoos.
