In all my years of dating, breakups, makeups and the final closing of romantic chapters, there's one thing I hate the most.

The day of retrieval!

You know, that time when all the stuff you've kept at each others apartments gets put into a nice box and returned....or not.

So which do you do? Do you hold on to things in hopes of a reconciliation, or do you throw them out on the front lawn and tell them to come and get their things?

 Pack the box with any of her stuff and drop it off, but only when she has her girlfriends over. I will also slip into the box some of her favorite flowers, and a card saying thanks for being a friend.

I dont burn bridges, just becasue we are not compatible doesnt mean that we need to be spiteful.

 pack everything up and let her/him know they can pick it up. Throwing everything out on the lawn serves no purpose.
