 Foreskin restoration groups are an excellent source of information, whether you are interested in restoring or not. It has always seemed to me that uncut guys got more pleasure from sex; in fact that was one of the reasons that circ was made compulsory in some societies centuries ago. Some men have a wad of loose skin behind the corona and no scar where the skin color changes. There may have been no foreskin removed from them, just the frenum. And even that may not be as much of a loss because it is now suspected that the area of the frenum is so sensitive because the nerves are buried beneath the frenum. But any parts left exposed to the air become covered with keratin, the substance of fingernails. The good news is that 20- after full coverage is achieved, whether it is self-supporting or needs help from tape, the head and inner foreskin and glans will return to their natural state, mucous membrane, like the eyes and insides of nose and mouth. Imagine how dysfunctional they would be if allowed to keratinize.
There is an excellent book, "The Joy of Uncircumcising," by James Bigelow, Ph.D., which gives all the physiology and history.
