It was a dark and stormy night....

I always wanted to start a post off with that line! LOL...

Actually, it was a warm and sultry night in Tampa. My friend 'Turk' and I were 'camped' out on the veranda of the Harbor Island Hotel's bar, overlooking the water and all of downtown Tampa.

We loved that bar basically because it a) had some of the best looking babes around, b) had killer lounge chairs on the veranda overlooking the water and downtown Tampa and c) a good friend of ours managed the place AND played the piano in the bar. He also got us drinks for free which probably had SOMETHING to do with our being there eh?

Turk and I had already picked up two 'sassy' women who as it turned out were in town for some convention, let's call them 'Bambi' and 'Veronica', and we were sitting on the lounges outside 'letting' them seduce the two of us.

Bambi was a gorgeous little brunette with an ass that just 'spoke' volumes to me and Mr. Drippy. Veronica was a VERY sexy blond who unlike the stereotype, actually seemed to be the 'brains' of the duo..

Bambi was doing her best to snake her tongue into my brain via my ear and I could see that Turk had a major tent in his pants as Veronica was slowly rubbing her leg, ass and whatever else was handy, along the front of his jeans.

Typical night..

Well almost.. At that moment, the door from the inner bar flew open and some drunk carrying a full pitcher of beer stumbled out, turned right and proceeded to walk right into Bambi and I, tripping over us and landing with a major THUD in the space between the two loungers.

As typical for drunks, he didn't spill a DROP of his full pitcher. (Save the beer at ALL costs!) LOL

Anyway, he slowly got to his feet, brushed himself off and I finally got a good look at him.

To my surprise, it was Peter Tork!

Yes THAT Peter Tork of the Monkeys.

Drunker than hell, barely able to stand upright and totally oblivious to the fact that he had just made a complete fool of himself.

Needless to say, both Bambi and Veronica were start-struck. Turk and I were a bit 'cooler' towards him since a) it looked like he was about to steal our girls and b) well we're just not that mesmerized by 'celebs' if you will..

Bambi made room for him on MY lounge and invited him to sit down and with a little help from her, he was finally able to navigate his soused butt into the space provided.

I wasn't happy but went along with it.

Both of the girls were gushing and cooing all over him to the point of actually making me a bit ill, all Mr Tork was trying to do was get a drink of his beer out of his pitcher, sloshing it around, spilling it all over me..

What HAD been a promising night had now turned into a mini-nightmare for both Turk and I as quite literally, a crowd of people formed around the TOTALLY inebriated ex-Monkey.

The man could barely form words but yet his 'adoring' public were fawning over him like he was some sort of god..

I was ready to upchuck.

Thankfully the crowd finally melted away and before we knew it, Mr Tork finally got to his feet and stumbled on down the veranda, disappearing into the darkness.

Thank G-D!

Well almost. All Bambi and Veronica could talk about was Peter Tork and the Monkeys. They even started singing some of the old Monkey songs. (I'm a Believer, Last Train to Clarksville and of COURSE, Hey Hey we're the Monkeys) ..

I think I DID in fact do one of those internal pukes.

Listen, I was a fan of the Monkeys back when I was a and even enjoyed watching their lame-assed TV show. Shit, my wife saw them in concert here at the Indiana State Fair one year when they opened for Jimi Hendrix. (Yep it's true folks, look it up)

But come on now...

Anyway, normalcy was finally restored and we finally went back to the REAL 'priority' of the evening which was getting into both Bambi and Veronica's pants.

Bambi and I resumed our game of 'tongue hockey', Turk and Veronica went back to playing whatever it was they were playing that was raising a pup tent in his pants and life was once again good.

Finally I suggested that we head over to my house on the bay and go for a boat ride. It sounded like a good idea to all but unfortunately, the only vehicle we had was my convertible Mazda RX-7 which was really only a two seater. (Good LUCK sitting in those back seats my friends!

Have you EVER tried to fit four people into a small two seater?? Well we did but I'm pretty damn sure Bambi was actually sitting ON the stick shift..

Thankfully my house wasn't that far from Harbor Island, so the trip was short but 'interesting' and even better, we didn't lose anybody in the process...

Stay tuned for Part II (I promise, it gets hotter/better!)

Monkees...who?

* I actually saw them in concert four times, in two states in two days...Hey, it was a free ride to Pheonix!*

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.
