Mine may actually be a collaborative piece now... between two or three bloggers (or former bloggers). I know some may have opinions to chime in.

Gooba gobble, gooba gobble, one of us, one of us!

Thank you for the pimping. Now swim, swim in a sea of creativity and shake forth the liquid droplets of inspiration!

Ick.

Former bloggers are welcome, or welcome back. Collaborative pieces are welcome. Your comtribution, your rules... save for posting, which is encouraged for the morning of Sunday, June 28...

A question, though: How do they know they'll have opinions before the final topic is picked?

I almost missed the poll, goddamnit - how come ? I don't know ... eddies in the space-time continuum, probably.

Visual, of course, something beyond languages ... and text-heavy posts, I agree with you.
It seems body images, quite close, or say, more precise a target, is gonna win. I'll try and do with it ... if not elsewhere.
The other topics ? Ugh ... technology surround us and religion too, alas, and heavily, which is odd.
Others ? Well ... I will propse doors and/or bridges again some day. But right now, visual, there are too many speeches.
Including mine, therefore I step out of here ...

I have not forgotten doors and bridges! I do have a list of potential topics -- and I'm happy to accept suggestions from all and sundry.

Glad you found the poll, and I'm looking forward to your contribution, no matter what, ultimately, the topic chosen is!

Truthfully I think I could drum up something with any of them however I started thinking up a nice one on body image already so that gets my vote. Amazing what comes to mind first...

I'm more of a word person, so images would be difficult for me... which is part of the reason I put it on the list! It's pretty early in the voting... I doubt we're going to have a runaway candidate like we did last month...

Hello, and welcome to my blog and the virtual symposium! Topics get repeated from time to time, so if religion and sexuality doesn't win this time (and late polls aren't in its favor) it will probably crop up again...

Looking forward to your participation -- and remember, even reading and commenting is a valuable bit of participation!

Don't tell anyone, but I voted for technology, too... doesn't look as though we're in luck for this symposium, but I do enjoy (sometimes) being challenged to write about a topic I didn't choose...

Hope you'll join us this Sunday, regardless of what the topic is!

I just realized I will most likely have to be a late participant. As in either Sunday night or even Monday... I'm going camping this weekend. Everybody who can will be hiding out in the mountains, rivers, and lakes, trying to stay cool in 108 F weather.

I'm not going to shame anyone for trying to stay cool in this weather... especially not someone who has had air conditioning travails! Let me know when your post is up, and I'll pull it into the master list...

Looking forward to it!

What delights me is not so much the runaway topics, but the solid showings of the runners-up, which indicates that all of the options are intriguing. It's when there are clearly a few turkeys that I get nervous.

May inspiration strike where it needs... and enjoyment be universal!
