As I drive past
the thick glass.
It reflects and ripples
like water on a lake.
My headlights
shine as I drive by.
The surreal
of this other place
has struck into my mind.
As I drive home tonight.
The chill in the air
is cold.
Have you ever
felt as if your
heart were in so much pain
the chill of winter
was all that would stop the ebb.
The throbbing
of the blood
as it curses your veins.
The heat of the car
is blasting,
I shake of the cold
which chills my hands
as I grip the wheel.
Driving as if the hounds of hell
chase me.
Fear envelopes me
seeing
the unreal
