Circumcised or Not?  

Recently read a blog about a party group who bans uncircumcised penises. The reasons being people don't like what they look like (specifically women) and they tend to not be as clean as circumcised penises. Mentioning the presence of smegma (nasty sounding word, isn't it?)

As someone who is an equal opportunity player, I took offense to that. Many of us aren't as concerned about the penis as the man who it's attached to. And as far cleanliness, that too is up to the person who possesses the appendage. Furthermore, whether a man is circumcised or not wasn't his choice...it was most likely his parent's.

I also wonder if the women who say they won't hook up with men because they don't like the appearance of an uncircumcised penis would feel if men made similar comments about the appearance of their genitalia. How would a woman feel if someone would assume if her labia or clitoral hood was larger than what some may concern the norm, may not be clean due to secretions and discharge that could be hiding there.

An argument made was that another example circumcised penises are more desirable is that is what is displayed in most porn. But if you look to porn as an example, most female genitalia is pink and pubescent looking.

Of course everyone is entitled to preferences, but unless we want to be judged by the appearance of body parts we have no control over, we should think twice before doing the same about someone else.
