Poem- Winter's Memories  I am bitter boned as a winter flag pole You held in your hands warm coal What a contrast you were to the brutish air My timid boney arms long for your loving flair O’er the ramparts of loneliness I watched The smell of your skin reminds of Sweet alyssum so bewitched! Tied to the brick of sorrows of my lack confidence, Sweet as song your hope brings effervescent dominance, Wintery breezes from the darkness of the northern skies, We ran through the field it now seems of 1000 pasts July’s, Our fishing lines first crossed- it tied in knots and tangles, And we both laughed and our hands touched reaching for the entangles Since then it’s been like Seussville all upside down, All red fish and blue fish mixed up and frowns, Or a movie so indie that the yuppies won’t see, I want to be the star in your life’s marquee! I live in the here and now and I don’t live in the past as a rule, But, memories of you still haunt me so true, It warms me on this winter’s morn, Bringing a smile to me and I feel wellborn!
